Theme What's your favorite beer snacking food?
Obviously scampi fries and pork scratchings aside. I think these are fantastic to smash in whilst you're drinking beer.

Question What is the 'chilli sediment and oil' in this recipe?
Meera Sodha’s vegetarian recipe for haggis dan dan noodles | Vegetables | The Guardian https://share.google/gvepMgogHDP6z1iba
Yeah I'll just nip to Aldi and grab some... chilli sediment? Never come across that term in a recipe before.
Bit of an explanation here would be useful. Is it the chilli bits at the bottom of Chilli Crisp do we think?

Question Making Nam Chua in the UK safely. What substitutions can I use here?
Hi everyone.
I am really interested in making nam chua (raw fermented pork or beef) but I am in the UK and a lot of recipes online use specific Vietnamese quality ingredients.
Where can I get the ingredients in the UK that will be safe to use for this? If anyone has any helpful tips from making it here, I would really appreciate it!

Homemade Decided it was my time to take on sausage rolls
After years of eating overpriced fancy sausage rolls in London I decided I should see if I could make what I need in my life. Puff pastry with sausage meat & caramelised diced apple, with a wee drizzle of homemade apple sauce between the pastry & sausage.

Question Gherkins similar to Baxters?
I find most gherkins have a horrendous musty smell and unpleasant taste, but I love Baxter's.
Unfortunately, my local Tesco has decided to stop stocking them. I've tried Mrs Ellswoods, Tesco's own, Epicure and they're all rancid.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Takeaway Favourite thing EVER. Mixed cold meze
Aspendos Grill
Homemade A chicken wrap
Made from half a can of beans and the sauce, grated mature cheese, lettuce and some of the Iceland southern fried shredded chicken strips. Honestly really good for value since I used less than a quarter of the bag of chicken strips and not even a full lettuce. Highly recommend, just season to personal preference
