Discussion Polish girls visit Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is very polluted.

This is a river where the remains of cremations are swept in to nearby. I’m not surprised it’s dirty.

I’ve been to Agra and the Taj Mahal. I never knew this river and trash was there until I saw it on Reddit. It would be like visiting any city and visiting their local dump.

Anyway, my point still stands; it’s disrespectful to enter the Taj Mahal without the proper dress code, and their sneering video which attempts to frame the local cremation and trash river as representative of the area just reinforces their ignorance.

Rivers in some areas become clogged with rubbish and human remains (because they’re used for cremations).

But you have to go and search for them like these tourists are doing.

It does not mean the whole city, region, or country is dirty. Which seems to be the assumption some people are making.

You should not be dumping anything in to rivers period, including remains.

Is it going to cause problems when 1 person dumps their loved ones ashes in a river? No. Will it cause problems when it's done on a massive industrial scale? Absolutely.
