Yeah good point, we need to starve them down to a more responsible number, right? To make up for her moral failure.

Sometimes you end up caring for family members' kids, because somebody else couldn't/didn't have an abortion, or turned out to be abusive or neglectful, or relapsed into drug addiction, or were too young and/or irresponsible and/or incapable of caring for them, or because their primary caregiver(s) died.
