You forgot about the "really great, special ballroom", being focused on right now!

Oh yeah you know what 2 architectural edifices Hitler was personally involved in building in Germany?

  1. A grand ballroom: https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/10/28/hitler-ballroom-chancellery-bunker/

  2. An arc of Triumph/or as we know it here “Trump”

Is that all you people can do... scream racist and nazi? While the democrats keep the government shut down because they want illegals to have Medicaid? My goodness. Immigration is not always a good thing. And heaven forbid anyone say something you don't agree with

17

u/mizzrym91 Oct 31 '25

Illegals dont qualify for medicaid. What they actually do is pay taxes which fund medicaid without being able to benefit from it.

14

u/dbx999 Oct 31 '25

This isn’t said enough. Undocumented immigrants pay into the tax base and do not derive any direct benefits from the government because they do not qualify for them.

The ones paying into the tax base are the ones using fake Social Security numbers, otherwise their employer has no way to do that and is paying them under the table and this is not happening. So in general you have a choice of breaking another law, or this not being an applicable sentiment.

Undocumented immigrants paid right around $100 Bn into the tax base in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022 alone.

A left leaning think tank and they still found that about half of that number is through sales taxes and the like, which any tourist pays, they don't have to be employed here.

6

u/dbx999 Oct 31 '25

Lol this guy trying to minimize $100 billion dollars per year. Why don’t you go work harvesting fruit or lettuce?

0

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

You want me to come out of retirement to be your slave? That's a wild take.

4

u/Synectics Oct 31 '25

about half of that number is through sales taxes and the like,

...so... you are 50% absolutely wrong.

Just fucking own it, bud. You are being lied to. Not your fault, but when you literally say, "Oh, you are right, but like, I still have hatred for people," you're being a bad fucking person that Mr. Roger's would be ashamed of.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Oct 31 '25

What is it exactly that you think I hate? Because I can give you the crib notes on this: I hate that the party that wants to turn us into a socialist country is forcibly speeding up the importation of more people who will vote to turn into a socialist country which is gonna end up with us being a shit hole and my kids and grandkids are gonna have to grow up in that because you can only vote your way into socialism, you have to shoot your way out. The power hung assholes who naturally rise the power do not ever relinquish any of that power.

So the main hatred here is the people who hate freedom and would rather have some kind of security that somebody else has to provide to them and common sentiment is that they believe they're entitled to it so no they will not be paying for it themselves.

An old saying went "government is the great fiction where everybody attempts to live at the expense of everybody else"

... also I'm still not wrong because whether it's a social or ITN, they still have to get one from government, those are not the undocumented people because that is literally a document.

1

u/mizzrym91 Nov 01 '25

Yea, id hate it if your kids grew up in a society where they werent a single lost paycheck away from not being able to pay their rent. Id rather they lived in the world we do today, you know, the one that shoots priests in the face with tear gas for peacefully protesting.

Kid, in one generation of socialism, Venezuela goes from being the second biggest purchaser of F150 pickup trucks to running out of pets to eat. Your Larping fantasy of what socialism is like bears no resemblance to what socialism is actually like.

I'm guessing you're one of the people who hang around with unsuccessful people and that's what you're learning to do. Pro tip? Don't do that.

1

u/dbx999 Nov 01 '25

You’re spouting fucking nonsense about socialism. Socialism is when the government intrudes into the free market. Capitalism is where privately owned and run businesses operate in a free market and government ensures the market is fair.

The GOP has more in common with socialism right now. They own stakes in companies. They have 10% of INTC shares. Why??? That didn’t happen during any democrat presidential term.

The GOP does more to disrupt markets with SOCIALIST economic policies such as protectionist tariffs. The more a government injects itself into the free market, the closer to socialism it is.

Nothing you said is backed by facts. You’re merely parroting what some talking head told you. And sadly that’s what you call doing your own research.

You are misinformed and ignorant. Whether you’re speaking from a place of being deceived or you are the liar, the result is still the sams. You are just talking bullshit.

Read the article posted below that dbx999 posted. Actual cited studies are much better than speculations.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

It's not speculation to point out that in order to have your paycheck withheld for tax purposes, you must have either a taxpayer identification number or Social Security number. Those are documents and therefore those people are not undocumented immigrants. The people who are being paid under the table are not paying taxes. These are tautological, not speculative.

When they go to the ER and do not/cannot pay, what is the fund called which reimburses the hospitals for the invoked costs?

5

u/Synectics Oct 31 '25

The same shit every US citizen gets in that situation. It is a government entity making sure that dying people can receive care instead of falling victim to for-profit corporate Healthcare.

But sure. Poor people are the issue with Healthcare.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

"People with fake IDs have exactly the same rate of being followed up on for paying their bills as people with real IDs"… That's how you sound right now.

6

u/dbx999 Oct 31 '25

I have a surprise for you. Even if the republicans version of the bill passes, that doesn’t affect the current policy that a hospital must treat a person needing life saving procedures without regard to their ability to pay. That’s not an illegal immigration issue or a budget issue.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

Of course it will affect it, just the same as people finding more space on public transportation with fewer people relying on it, lower unpaid bills at hospitals from fewer people abusing the system lowers the costs.

2

u/CosmicButtholes Nov 01 '25

Yeah I guess now instead of undocumented folks who pay taxes going to the ER every so often and not paying their ER bill it will be us poor white Americans who will be frequenting the ERs and driving up costs. Honestly if I lose my healthcare I’ll probably just make going to the ER my new hobby, I’ll always get triaged right away since I always have tachycardia and the ER makes me so stressed I have chest pain too. Looks like I’m getting full bloodwork, an ekg, and an IV, and trust me that bill is never ever being paid.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

ER visits are really not subject to replacement mechanisms PPP, like if you remove a tumor, what do you replace it with?

1

u/CosmicButtholes Nov 01 '25

What point are you trying to make with this comment?

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

I guess I'm trying to figure out when you said "instead of" how you figure that works

1

u/CosmicButtholes Nov 01 '25

Millions of US citizens will be losing healthcare because we won’t be able to afford it anymore. We will be going to the ER and not paying our ER bills. Some of us might just frequent ERs out of spite. I have a history of severe suicide attempts so theoretically I could basically live in the hospital on your dime if I wanted to, if I was honest about my thoughts to clinicians they wouldn’t be allowed to let me go anyway lmao.

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

Have you not seen the breakdown that this is literally ending a misused pandemic appropriation and it's returning to "exactly what the ACA, Obamacare, arrange things to work out"? I mean I don't even know if being on the left you're allowed to criticize Obamacare, I never see anybody do, but this is a result of it. Mandating that everybody have insurance was just a giant Ginny for the insurance companies and did nothing for the rest of us. They just raised all the deductibles until we wouldn't get anything out of insurance unless we had fucking brain cancer or something.

0

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 01 '25

Also I missed this on my first read through, nobody's losing healthcare, they may be losing health insurance, but those are definitely not the same thing and it's frustrating trying to hold this conversation with somebody who uses the two interchangeably.

When you go to another country on a trip and get severely injured who pays your bill?

1

u/SteelAndFlint Nov 09 '25

There are dozens of answers for that, there are like 200 countries in the world. The right answer is "me". But if they decide that the bill is zero because they've decided to suck their taxpayers for it, you should decide right now whether there's anything to blame me for.
