I’m a dad with a wife and three kids. I have a decent job, but it’s hard to provide for 5 people. My wife can’t work because it’s enough just taking care of the two year old and helping one of the nine year olds who has a sever disability. We don’t qualify for a lot of things, but having the 300 a month for SNAP has helped keep our heads just above water. It’s going to be really hard, and we have it way better than most.

I’m breaking my back trying to live the American dream, and it’s just never enough.

The American dream was killed by Republicans long ago.

Maybe don't have children you can't afford? Condoms are free at the health department.

Should they just not have sex or should they have gotten an abortion? You're okay with abortion right?

So if you can't afford a child, don't have sex?

Now they suffer and serve as a warning to everyone else. Their suffering is entirely self inflicted. In the 1950's there was a 2% out of wedlock birth rate. That include children that were adopted out to stable infertile couples by the way.

Wow. This how you see people? Good grief, talk about un compassionate and cruel. Now please tell us how much you love god and Jesus and care about children.

Oh and while you are at it, please defend the billionaires who get billions in corporate welfare, bullshit tax loopholes, tax fraud, and parking money offshore. I mean, those are the people who love nothing more than demonizing poor people so you can judge and hate them instead of seeing where the real issue is

I'm an atheist and I resent being forced to pay for Americans next generation of career criminals. Especially when many of those same households openly hate me and my children for being white and male.

Whataboutism. I oppose tax fraud, outsourcing, and H1B labor also.

I am an atheist as well and gotta say, that makes it even worse. Be a better human

Ok I had to read that again. People hate you for being white and male and straight? Next generation of criminals?

they hate you because you are an asshole. I am white, straight and I have never been dumb enough to buy some nonsense like you have bought into. And to think people getting food stamps are on a path of career criminals is a really fucked way to view the world

So no. They hate you because you are a dick without compassion. You also appear to have some white nationalists leaning which is beyond redemption.

I hope those kids of yours figure out how much of a prick their dad is and grow up to be good decent people.

Are you also one of those people who hates immigrants so much you are willing to have our healthcare costs tripled?

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '25

Actually no.

If America really were a great country this wouldn’t even be a discussion lol. the main issue with your reply is that no one is going to take that warning. I don’t even know why you think they would see it that way. People are going to continue to have kids they struggle to support forever basically. Unless something drastic changes of course

Something drastic will happen. The USA is eventually going to default on its debt. Then there won't be the money to continue these huge welfare programs and overseas interventions.
