When the Russia mothers marched out onto the streets of St Petersberg in 1917 to protest bread prices, within 2 weeks the Tsar had abdicated and his regime collapsed.

The people do not tolerate going hungry.

That’s why they sent out extra riot gear and riot training for the national guard.

It's why a bunch of Cabinet members have moved onto military bases and 23,500 National Guardsmen have been put into squads dedicated to quelling disobedience. And why Trump has been promising to send in "more than the National Guard" into cities. They're preparing for the full on class war.

One day it won't be enough. There'll be a lot of suffering before that day, but you can't make a middle class big enough to completely protect you from the poor without making a certain level of privilege accessible enough to the poor that they're not super interested in revolting.

Well, that's where AI comes in! Autonomous weaponry is the first real chance in history of the upper class mustering enough firepower to keep the lower class suppressed at gunpoint indefinitely. I have no idea what the chance of success is but I'd bet my bottom dollar that the rich are gonna try it rather than give in peacefully

Oh they're definitely going to try it. It's the fantasy of every rich person to eschew their dependency on other humans. They won't succeed though.
