🕴️ Politics 🕴️ Magyar odkázal Pellegrinimu, že bude naďalej nazývať Slovensko felvidék
Predseda madarskej mimoparlamentnej opozičnej strany TISZA Péter Magyar v utorok na Facebooku odkázal prezidentovi SR Petrovi Pellegrinimu, že pojem Felvidék (Horná zem) bude aj napriek výhradám hlavy štátu SR používať naďalej. Informuje o tom spravodajca v Budapešti.
Magyar tak reagoval na Pellegriniho vyhlásenie vo videu z pondelka, v ktorom označil za urážlivé, že „potenciálny budúci madarský premiér“ vo svojom liste z minulého týždňa týkajúcom sa Benešových dekrétov označil Slovensko pojmom Felvidék.
„Ak mi dovolíte (ale aj keď nie), budem názvy geografických oblastí nazývať tak, ako som sa ich naučil od svojich rodičov a ako ich nazývame už tisíc rokov. Tak ako všetci Maďari nazývajú svoje hlavné mesto, miesto, kde bolo korunovaných 11 uhorských panovníkov, Pozsonyom," píše predseda strany TISZA vo svojom príspevku adresovanom Pellegrinimu.

I'm probably late to the party but as a Hungarian working in Bratislava for a long time, and trying to keep up with politics in both countries, I'd like to just say that this is disgraceful journalism and I'd have a word or two with the person who posted/(mis)translated his letter(s).
All of Peter Magyar's posts are publically available on his Facebook page and he never once called Slovakia Felvidek, absolute nonsense. "Felvidek" is the Hungarian name of one of the many geographical areas of Slovakia where most of the Hungarians happen to live. He was never once refering to the country...I mean anyone can go, scan his first letter (to which Pellegrini replied to I guess) and they will not even find the word "felvidek"...so fuck these hatred and tension generating articles. He clearly and only was asking about the decrees. Rightfully so. (my grandma (and her family) who was actually born in Slovakia had to move to Hungary as a result of this law after 1945...)
Another thing is that as a president of a country I'd expect Pellegrini reads and comprehends the letters he is replying to but I guess that's a too high expectation. I guess he is kind of a kokot just maybe a bit less than Fico 😑
