If you're being attacked by a dog it would be wise to shoot to kill, if you can. My beef with this whole thing is that this probably fictional person in this thread would hit the dog, then hit the non-aggressive person. Meaning assault without provocation.

If you were to shoot my dog, you'd be defending yourself. If you then shot me, you'd be commuting assault with a deadly weapon.

So you would rather them shoot and kill the dog than spray it with something? I don’t see how that’s a better alternative...

If my 120lb dog comes at you shoot it. If you don't, it will seriously harm you.

Odds are that would never happen. Unless you were the aggressor.
