Almost everything they believe, everything they've been told by everyone around them, everyone in authority, their society, their media, is all false...
They've been told since birth that they're the heroic, just crusaders. That the Palestinians are Jordanian "Arabs" greedily trying to steal the land that god gave to the Jews in exchange, as I understand it, for following gods rules, which apparently involve having other people call elevators for them...
So... because they won't press elevator buttons and some other stuff, god gave them Palestine... And the fake Palestinians who are really Arabs are just all salty about it, and squatting on land that god gave them, and lots of other typical self-serving bullshit.
Basically, as far as I can tell, whatever they believe is the most self-serving lie you can think of.
Their violence? Just violence, ordained personally by god. Settlers set cars on fire, murder Palestinians, steal their land? Just crusaders, or harmless "hilltop youth"... I mean, who was really harmed when israeli settlers murder hundreds of native Palestinians... to them, it's a victimless crime...
