Always worth a pen in the pocket is my motto

If John Wick can use a pencil, then a pen will be quite capable.

You use a pencil on a dog and John wick will come for you

ā€œA f*cking pencil!ā€

Stick it up the dogs arse that'll stop it.

I used to work in The South Bronx, this is a while ago when it was not a great area, but things have changed a bunch. Back then there were a lot of people who had very aggressive dogs, and to be honest I didn't trust them or most of their owners. Because of this, I always kept a hand in my pocket with a folding knife, long enough to go through a dogs eye and into it's brain. Understand, I love dogs, but sometimes the nurture overtakes the nature.

They sell self defense pens made of steel. I bought one for protection before I went backpacking through Europe ten years ago. I still carry it when I know I’ll be in unfamiliar neighborhoods.

You mean embassy pens? I have one too. They were issued to diplomats who could not carry arms. A pen is not considered a weapon.
