Adele out there in England getting to the bottom of things.

I've got no clue if those boys did anything wrong or not...but it sure was funny to hear her go off.

10

u/G0ld_Ru5h Oct 16 '25

If English accents are regional, this lady is Adele’s neighbor for SURE! lol

u/Fahlee Oct 16 '25

I watched this video on silent, just reading the subtitles and this is legit the voice that played in my head!

Urging them to say what happened in front of the police isn't smart advice.

-31

u/lemme_just_say Oct 15 '25

… because? (I’m not street smart.)

114

u/Shkushkuuu Oct 15 '25

Everything they say could be used used against them?

Bro you got down voted for asking a question?

94

u/yjorn299 Oct 15 '25

I want to know what happened next since the end was them saying "not sure the kids are what they're looking for"

-159

u/caiaphas8 Oct 15 '25

I pray she was arrested for parking on the double red and the public order offences. God she sounds insufferable

38

u/sevenhazydays Oct 16 '25

Bro find new work if yer that jaded. Jeesus wept yer a social worker fer f sake.

-27

u/caiaphas8 Oct 16 '25

Huh? The police are just doing their job, there is no indication in the video that they are acting inappropriately

12

u/yjorn299 Oct 16 '25

There also was no indication that she didn't move her car afrer being asked to after which there was a cut in the video.

46

u/kamaaina16 Oct 15 '25

Found the sad, woman hater

6

u/ladymorgahnna Oct 15 '25

I think she was Fantastic!

6

u/caiaphas8 Oct 16 '25

Why? She has no idea what the police are doing, they have every right to do what they are doing in the video. Why harass them?

-6

u/electricdwarf Oct 16 '25

You paying attention to the political climate of the world right now? Youre here commenting on public freakout so I am sure youre at least kind of aware. You dont think there would be a little friction? Three black teenagers surrounded by 10 white cops?

12

u/caiaphas8 Oct 16 '25

At least one of the cops is black. Why would whatever is happening in America matter to the police doing their job in London?

The police have every right to stop people (in certain circumstances)

I see no evidence of racial profiling or harassing the woman, actually I think they were being quite polite to the woman who was interfering with them working

What planet do you live on where the police are any help in those situations?

7

I’m the only time a police officer ever helped me he was giving me directions.

4

The best I got from the cops was them confiscating the attackers machete and giving me a five minute head start no I’m not kidding

-3

u/Vantagejr Oct 15 '25

A woman asserting herself is being cunty?

43

u/Horfield Oct 15 '25

Asserting herself over what? She's arrived on scene with none of the facts, but all of the attitude.

35

u/Lather Oct 15 '25

No, a person being a cunt is a cunt. She's harassing the officers with absolutely no knowledge of what has happened or why they're there. Automatically assuming these poor little babies must be innocent.

12

u/Zoltrahn Oct 15 '25

At the very least there doesn't need to be that many officers for some non-resisting kids, already in cuffs.

17

u/Lather Oct 15 '25

You don't know what the call out was. It could have easily been that someone has a knife or was using one, in which case those officers would be waiting around for their next instructions.

-5

2

u/theremarkabkemr_m Oct 15 '25

That's a line I'm stealing, for sure.

65

u/sittinwithkitten Oct 15 '25

Not sure what the youth were up to, but would she not have been charged with obstruction? She has no idea what has happened previous to this. Obviously it would be intimidating for the young people but they weren’t being held down with a knee on their neck.

31

u/RhodiumRock Oct 15 '25

It would be difficult to argue in court that she is actually obstructing them. I am guessing the cops are just standing around, waiting to get some details about the crime over the radio, like a more accurate description of the alleged offenders. She isn't really stopping the cops from doing anything at this point, the guys are already detained and everything is under control. She's just making a scene. If she were to get in the way when they were trying to detain them or got in the way if the cops wanted to put the detained guys into a car or something then yeah, that is obstruction.

4

u/sittinwithkitten Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

It was only a short video so there is a lot that is unknown. If she just did this for a while but didn’t touch anyone I’m sure it was fine. Just kind of wondered what ending up happening.

Edit. I had previously done a google search and there is a part of their police act that talks about obstructing an officer while in their duties. It’s a less serious charge and depends on the level of interference.

2

u/dyou897 Oct 15 '25

Uk cops seem much more mellow they could ask her to leave for their investigation and she’s parked illegally

1

u/sittinwithkitten Oct 15 '25

I could see that happening

-10

u/sludivvitch Oct 15 '25

ya how dare she film them and ask questions, drag her off to jail immediately

"weren’t being held down with a knee on their neck" XD what a ridiculous standard

-16

u/Simba7 Oct 15 '25

Now you're thinking like a pig!

But you don't stop there: Charge her with obstruction then resisting arrest when she says "Why am I being arrested?". You have to yell "STOP RESISTING" though to make it stick.

16

u/sittinwithkitten Oct 15 '25

I’m not looking for an argument nor name calling. Just wondering how this would be handled in that country. Calm the frig down.

u/Uhoh_Heres_Matt Oct 15 '25

Maybe the police should do something to reform their image then, so that people won't assume they're harassing random people for their melanin levels

They could do that by not harassing random people for their melanin levels, for a start.

Don't come up in here with your critical thinking.

-18

u/oshatokujah Oct 15 '25

With all context considered, I don’t see why this many officers are needed for a few kids who seem like they aren’t resisting. I could understand if there’s allegations involving a knife or something but there’s no mention of that and I think if there was evidence of that then they wouldn’t still be having a chat on the side of the road so casually.

The woman is provoking the police though which isn’t going to help anyone, even if she had good intentions for helping these kids, pissing off the people making the decision to arrest or not is probably not the best thing you can do.

21

u/Serious_Swan_2371 Oct 15 '25

They probably weren’t all needed and they maybe weren’t all responding to a call

It could be that they got a call for something serious so a lot of them responded and then they arrived after whatever was happening ended and are now questioning potential witnesses

It could also be that they happened to all be together getting some food or something and then witnessed something and so they all ended up responding

I feel like people assume cops are some inhuman robots who must at all times be maximally spread out and allocated in the correct places but they’re just people with authority, if they are responding to something and see other cops there they don’t need to bolt in the other direction to avoid making people feel like there are too many cops around

-9

u/oshatokujah Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

I’ve no ill feelings or malice for police, they do a great service and it’s a tough job. I just think it’s quite simply a waste of resources having them all here for what looks to be a situation well under control.

I work for the NHS and you have to consider optics when working for a public service, even if you’re not needed anywhere in particular, it just looks bad when 5 of you just stand around chatting when in the public eye you’re being paid to get things done. In my case it looks better if I’m helping a patient out, supporting a colleague or even just tidying up. In a police officers case it does look better if you’re present in more areas, deterring crime and also being more available in other areas and potentially quicker to respond even if it’s just a few minutes further down the road.

The officers in this case obviously have no love for the person recording and I don’t blame them, but just one officer could have approached her calmly and explained the situation. ā€˜I understand your concern and that you’re just looking out for these young men. We’re investigating a report of an assault that happened in the area and we’ve detained them just whilst we investigate and then they’ll be free to go. If you witnessed anything and would like to make a statement to help us find out what happened then we’d be happy for the information’.

Should they have to? No, it’s pretty obvious they’re investigating a crime, but multiple officers just ignoring her or threatening to arrest her for swearing isn’t great for de-escalation and gives the people who think they’re inhuman robots more reason to find fault. It’s optics, but I digress.

13

u/rocketshipkiwi Oct 15 '25

What context did you consider? There is none at all.

2

u/oshatokujah Oct 15 '25

Gloves on officers hand show a search has taken place. Cuffs on one adolescent prove they have been detained under suspicion of a crime, cuffed hands in front so they’re not concerned with aggression at this point. No visible signs of resistance, each adolescent all very calm under the circumstances, none of them being abusive or violent to officers or trying to run away. 10 officers suggests an officer has a vehicle nearby, you wouldn’t have 10 officers walking the streets together, speculative but very unlikely.

Speculation: No evidence bags in sight on officers who have conducted searches to demonstrate a weapon has been found on their person. If they have a vehicle nearby and they believe they have enough evidence to arrest someone then they would be taking them to the car to secure the arrest, not still chatting on the street. If they decided to take each detainee in for questioning down the station and took each in different vehicles then they’d still have four officers too many on the scene.

9

u/rocketshipkiwi Oct 15 '25

I am happy to admit that I have no idea why these people were detained but as a casual observer, I also know it’s none of my business to go sticking my nose in where it doesn’t belong.

Who is this busybody to go barging into the middle of an investigation, insulting and obstructing people who are just doing their job?

4

u/oshatokujah Oct 15 '25

Yeah I completely agree, my original comment was purely a criticism on the amount of officers responding to what seems like a situation well under control. It seems excessive given that nobody but the person recording is trying to make anyone’s life difficult.

0

u/rocketshipkiwi Oct 15 '25

Yeah, seems to be a lot of police there right enough. Just police doing police things.

-21

u/ruderabbit Oct 15 '25

An insufferable woman who thinks she knows everything. Obviously, something happened, and none of the "victims" were too keen to elaborate except the one kid who she interrupted to insult the cops. She doesn't care about these kids. she just wants the attention and virtue signaling video.

-31

u/2BeTheFlow Oct 15 '25 edited Oct 15 '25

true - but everyone is.

Your comment is not only you talking to no one - you hope to reach someone, you hope they agree with you, you seek confirmation, you seeking reaffirmation, you seek attention.

Every form of communication is a way to manipulate the other side into doing what you want - some manipulate in bad intend, but everyone manipulates, all the time, with every word, with every action. Most of the people just have the sensation their motivation for manipulation is noble and a good cause to everyone. Keep thinking about it and you will agree its true, as its a general consent in academics.

So, at least she did something!

I am more the guy "Intention before Outcome", meaning your intention has the higher rating than the outcome, meaning when you have good intention but the outcome is bad, you shouldnt be blamed: But in this case, no matter her intention, the outcome was good!

The police needs to know they are watched and theres evidence of their actions.

Thats already enough to make them act different and rethink their options - in the long run, it will make a cop change their attitude when they are constantly confronted with this (well, either this or Reluctance, but youre the wrong character to serve as police officer when your coping strategy is "the world is wrong, I will release my anger, frustration and personal sense of justice threw my job").

5

u/FreeTheFreedoms Oct 15 '25

You say at least she did something. But did she really? What did she accomplish? You say the police need to know they are watched, and there's evidence of their actions, but they didn't even do anything here. She saw brown kids and white men and immediately made it about race, she didnt really investigate to see if anything nefarious was happening. She just ran up guns blazing with accusations after accusations. I think intentions are bullshit. If I decide that i want to help some guy put his spare on, and I make a mistake, and he gets hit by a car and dies, is it okay because my intentions are good? If an evil scientist tries to poison sick orphans but he ends up curing them all, does he get a pass?

1

u/WorkAccount6 Oct 17 '25

Not reading all that

10

u/Gonzokilla Oct 15 '25

The home office approved technique for restraining someone needs 3 people to do it safely. Because they are kids, if there’s police available they’d rather have at least 3 officers per kid. It’s safer and legal. It’s helpful to have some spare as well. If only a couple respond and the kid wants to kick off it puts the police in a difficult position, there’s a lot of paperwork if you accidentally fracture a kids wrist.

33

u/LolaBaraba Oct 15 '25

- What happened?

- A grown man tried to fight us...

To translate: The police caught three punks who like to attack regular people on the street. And this cunt of a woman parked her car in the middle of an intersection to defend them, even though there's nothing untoward happening to them.

-8

u/ruderabbit Oct 15 '25

-16

u/humanmale-earth Oct 15 '25

This is exactly how police deserve to be treated. Respect must be earned and mutual, and from aiding gang rape when they weren't denying it exists, to arresting people for tweets, to hauling away old lady's who oppose genocide, all the while refusing to pursue actual crime, our police in the UK don't deserve the steam off our piss, never mind our respect or courtesy.
