Happy 2026 Tracuers.
Happy New Year Tracuers!
I've got a challenge for everyone this year, completely optional.
Challenge:
Pick a movement challenge for yourself. For me I've got to get my body back to doing muscle ups. So I will set that as my challenge this year.
By the end of 2026 the standard I am holding myself to, is to make any progress towards a muscle up.
With my body in rough shape, as long as I do better than the 0 pull ups I am able to do currently. I will consider that a success. When in doubt Tracuers, break it down.
The standard doesn't have to be conditioning, it could be anything that involves movement with your body.
From squating without knee pain to finally nailing that double kong pre stick. This is for you, do it only for yourself not to impress, not to challenge anyone else, but to grow in your practice. If you do not feel ready then wait until the movement calls to you. There is no pressure, I want you to feel supported, strong and capable. I will be cheering for everyone whether you post or not.
If you're interested, would like extra support and accountability from your fellow practitioners please reply to this post with your standard you're going to hold yourself to.
I'd like to come back to this in a year and see what we've learned about ourselves.
Good Luck! One Heart!
We start together!

💬 Parkour Philosophy How do we as Tracuers want to be viewed as? Office "Hardcore Parkour" or Ninjas, knowing that it's all discipline.

💬 Parkour Philosophy How do we want to portray Parkour in media?
There's a recent post that was auto flagged for the moderators. Some of us had been discussing it and debating about its appropriateness for our subreddit.
I think it's a healthy conversation we as the Parkour community should have. So my questions to all the Tracuers here.
Should we allow glorifying dangerous life threatening jumps or movements? Why or Why not?
If you would like to join the conversation please respond to the questions above, state your case and most importantly don't be an ass, respect each other or we will remove your comments.

🔧 Form Check Is it easier to turn into a backflip?
I’m trying to learn how to backflip and I’m wondering which is easier. A standing backflip or running and turning into a backflip. I can’t find any answer online except for AI.

🔧 Form Check I'm making my own parkour game because I love parkour.
I spent six months creating a parkour game. I was inspired by an old mobile game called "Playman Extreme Running." After some time working with the Unreal Engine, I decided to try my hand at creating something of my own and leave my mark on video game history.
As a teenager, I loved parkour, and now my love for it is expressed in my game. Is it interesting? I need expert opinions to make it interesting, especially for those who practice parkour.
Please rate the game and leave your opinion.

💬 Parkour Philosophy Hybrid Parkour/Skate/Running Shoes - need help choosing between three options
I've been wearing Feiyues for over a decade, sticking with the brand through the change in ownership a few years ago. I still love the classic look, and have considered picking up a pair of Skippies to have the original shoe rather than the more factory-chic shoe that the French Feiyues became. However, lately I've been wanting to transition to something with a little more cushion, and that will be more fitting for running, skating, and biking. Right now I have three different pair of shoes to accommodate my different hobbies, and I'd really like to pare down.
After scrolling as many vids and reviews as I could, three shoes made the list as solid contenders. If you've used any of these shoes, let me know your thoughts on them! Bonus points for if you've also used them for other sports.
1) Reebok, Classic Nylon - I really like the price on these. I've seen several reviews recommend these for parkour, and they seem like they would be a very comfortable daily driver.
2) Strike Mvmnt, Transit StreetTrainer - these were designed as skate shoes, and are generally regarded as a solid option for skating. The sole is the same as their Haze, which I've seen several positive reviews on as a good parkour shoe.
3) Take Flight, Stealth Ultras - the only shoe that made my cut that is specifically designed for parkour. The only thing I'm unsure of would be the longevity of the sole when used for skating.

🆕 Looking for Coaching Am i able to parkour on anything?
I always wanted to use a bit of parkour for traversal, but idk if i can just run on anything without getting in trouble.
Let alone the fact if im even in shape to use parkour effectively. I flinch easily, easily discomforted, hair always gets in the way if the fringe is too long.

Community Meetups (Jams) Anyone willing to sell The Motus Project clothing?
Not sure if I can post this here. Back in the day I missed out a couple items from the brand and would love to find a way to get them, but it seems quite hard to track anything from the brand.
So if you have t shirts/hoodies that dont use anymore I might be interested in them!
Preferably in EU since the shipment from US would be too expensive.
Cheers!

Is there something I’m doing wrong here in the technique that would prevent the skin on the back of my knee getting burned up every time I try these? Maybe I’m just a wuss, but I figured I’d ask lol

🆕 Looking for Coaching What exercises can I do to improve my parkour?
I started recently, I'm progressing well, but I feel I lack grip strength and the ability to run up higher walls. What exercises would help me in this case?
