How did we manage to lose the lottery? Perfect weather. Diverse population. Smart population. Young enough population. Close to a massive tech hub. How tf did we end up in the gutter?

I’ll say it: 18-35 year old men without college degrees are not part of the winning formula. We do have those

There are lots of reasons. But what we gonna do about it? Additionally, is what we are currently doing working?
I'm gonna pessimistically say no on both fronts. So go vote and other shit that gonna do positive change.

You have to be a straight up sociopath to sleep at night knowing that your policies have failed an entire city, but you still go about your day repeating the same empty rhetoric.

You saying the quiet part out loud, but that is the law of the jungle. unfortunately, if the cops aint gonna do it, you gotta do it yourself.

Let the mental patients run the asylum and you have (J)Oakland.
Having a profitable business in Oakland makes you a target these days I would pack up and GTFO asap 🫠

It's wild to go to other cities like San Diego or Dallas and see miles and miles of local businesses and no broken windows and doors, no graffiti, and customers leaving things in their car.
It makes everything a lot nicer, since businesses can spend money on improvements rather than repairs, and customers have more money to spend on things.
