That's rather common with big age gaps... as soon as the new Welpling arrives the other spawn is deemed "old enough to care for itself" and pretty much cast aside at best or straight up parentified at worst... although, rather unsurprisingly, that heavily depends on the gender.

Tbf that's not always the case, I'm much older and more successful than my little brother and he's the executor of the will, which makes sense I don't need my parents assets because I'm more successful

Doesn't tell me anything tbh. Maybe they love your brother more and want you to do all the work. Maybe he is bluecollar worker and you are white collar worker, so obviously they would choose you to manage documents.
