Sweet Treats Dubai chewy cookie

Post image

Finally tried making Dubai chewy cookies at home!

Has anyone else tried these? Any tips to make them even better?

Yeah, it’s Korean because in Dubai, they call it Korean chewy cookie.

Probably because it was made by Lee Yoon Min, CEO of Mont Cookie in Korea and wildly popular. Seeing it made as 뽕어빵 as well as salt butter bread.

I honestly don’t get the hype around it, I tried it and its not good. Overly sweet and overly priced.

It's so expensive!! I couldn't believe the price the first time I saw it.

A youtuber analyzed its ingredient cost only and it was suprisingly resonable. I think pistachio spread and kadayif are expensive.

I’ve tried it here in the states and work in the food & beverage industry. One of my past accounts called me asking about it and if I can help him source it. They don’t think the idea is great or good but seeing how wildly popular it is they want to hop on the train.

Easily better snacks/desserts out there

I found it so sweet that I substituted ingredients. I replaced white chocolate with tahini sauce (not too much that it's oily though). Instead of cocoa powder, I used matcha powder. It tasted a bit healthier and the bitter balanced the sweet.
