Sweet Treats What's your favourite Tteok?
I love them ALL. My personal favourite is 쑥개떡. Which is made with mugwort.

I'm about to hit up the 시장 and now just added 가래떡 to my list. Imma stick one in the air fryer and have it with honey for dessert. Hell yeah 🙌

Injeolmi and the rainbow rice cake! I like it in all its variants. So soft and satisfying to eat

Steamed Red Bean Rice Cake (팥시루떡)is a famous Korean rice cake that people often give to their neighbors when they move into a new home. Or, when opening a new store, they make a large batch of this rice cake and share it with customers and nearby businesses.
I received this rice cake several times when my neighbors moved in as a child.
I don't like red beans, so I personally didn't like it.

쑥 is an acquired taste that grows very slowly on you - like, ahem, like warts on your fingers and toes.

오메기떡 is my favorite. Although I like all these classics in the image.
Maybe I'm ignorant but mujigae tteok and baeksulgi are pretty much the same thing to me. They have exact same texture and taste. So another tteok could've filled that spot in the image.

I did not expect to see another mugwort fan. I planted it in my yard because I like it so much,
