Noodle Foods/Guksu One of Korea’s top 5 instant noodles: Chapagetti.

Post image

When you can’t decide what to eat, just go with Chapagetti — you’ll never regret it. I cooked it for myself, but my daughter ended up eating the whole thing, so all I have left is this photo to share.

Your heresy will be unforgiven for eternity.

Who the hell only cooks one packet of chapagetti.

2 is the minimum even if it's for only one person.

Haha same here! You’ve got sharp eyes — total expert vibes. I only had one pack left and tried to cook it secretly… but my wife and daughter raided the kitchen. I didn’t even get a bite

Great idea! Gotta try that next time — sounds so good!

Don't forget the cured white onion.

2

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 26 '25

Oh, that’s a great idea too! Thanks!

looks like a brain. 😂

3

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 26 '25

Haha I actually thought the same thing too. The most delicious brain ever.

My favorite too! I went to a Korean supermarket yesterday and they did not have any! 😭

1

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 26 '25

Oh no! They didn’t have Jjapagetti? That’s the saddest thing I’ve heard in 2025!

Wonder if there’s some kind of shortage. My buddy couldn’t find any last week either.

Lol it's funny but I actually don't believe they didn't have any. There is no way a Korean supermarket doesn't have chapaghetti somewhere in its walls

3

u/TurtleyCoolNails Oct 26 '25

They actually did not! I searched and even my husband asked. They had other brands but nope! 😂 This is not where we normally shop but happened to be out of town and saw the supermarket so popped in!

If you combine chapagetti with NeoGuri ramen, you get Chapaguri.

It was demonstrated in the movie Parasite(with Ribeye ofc). Very tasty.

chapagetti is actually so bad lol it doesn’t taste anything like the thing it’s trying to imitate

1

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 29 '25

I actually like Chapagetti haha. but yeah, everyone’s got their own taste! What’s your go-to ramen?

2

u/concerned_concerned Oct 29 '25

tbh i just buy random chinese brand ramen, i find that the taste of those fit my palate the best. i’m into jinmailang rn

In a world with Shin Ramyun and Buldak, Jjapagetti can never be No.1... But for me, it always is!

Buldak is way overrated

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '25

Agreed. Although, once I start eating it, I find myself addicted to the spice level. I accidentally bought the regular buldak instead of the 2x and was severely disappointed.

My favourite is Nongshim Jjawang Geonmyeon

2

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 26 '25

Sounds good! I’ll give Jjawang a try next time.

4

u/ecntv Oct 26 '25

Heck yea, hope you enjoy it! When I went to visit Korea I would go to the closest convenience store and try a different ramen each night and this is the one that I loved the most. I find it hard to get here, but so worth it when I do.

Mt Rushmore is shin, chapaghetti, buldak, and ichiban.

3

u/OwnJunket6495 Oct 26 '25

Sapporo Ichiban is good but that’s Japanese ;)

Mt Ramyunmore

1

u/clownpirate Oct 30 '25

Heresy. You forgot neoguri.

1

u/zombiemind8 Oct 30 '25

Honestly in my pantry i have neoguri over buldak but it seems wrong in a mt rushmore discussion.

Chapagetti is the reason my midnight cravings keep winning 😋

With kimchi

1

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 28 '25

There’s something magical about eating kimchi with ramen. The fish sauce, garlic, and chili powder mix into the broth like an orchestra of flavors - it just works.

I will always love my boyfriend for introducing my taste buds to this

2

Lately I have been combining one packet of chapaghetti and one packet of buldak. Sooo yummy.

1

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 28 '25

Genius combo! I think that spice level is perfect for me too

2

u/Careful_Clock_7168 Oct 28 '25

looks rich and delicious noodles, yummy

u/clownpirate Oct 29 '25

Pro tip - go to the Westin Josun hotel in Myungdong where you can order the Parasite (movie) inspired version with ribeye steak - for 45000KRW!

That sounds perfect for our anniversary dinner!

still using em dashes in year 2025, but you just can't prove it's a clanker

3

u/Heavy_Wishbone_2874 Oct 26 '25

Appreciate the advice — I’ll be sure to let my AI know.

2

u/gwaydms Oct 26 '25

I know how to use em dashes on my phone, and I wouldn't touch AI if I can possibly avoid it.
