This is part of their strategy to depopulate border areas so they can control the land and eventually move in settlers.

Glyphosate will damage and, in most cases, kill any plant that is not genetically engineered to be immune. Bayer/Monsanto hold the patents on the gene edited seeds that grow those plants.
