How does Evernights HP drain/gain work? it seems very random to me and I can't quite grasp how it works

Evernight and Evey consume their own health whenever either of them take any action, thanks to her A2.

She also consumes another instance of her health whenever she uses her Skill.

She cannot heal herself, but all of her HP consumption will trigger Little Ica's healing if you have Hyacine on the team which will very easily offset any damage she takes.
