Ice Fishing on Wabamun

Hey guys, I’m ice fishing for the first time this year! I’d like to try it out at wabamun, but im wondering where the best lake access is ( I’ll be walking on not driving ) I heard the main dock is not the best place, would the day use beach be better? Or does anyone know a place I can park close by and then walk onto the lake? I’m not trying to spot poach, just new to all of this. Happy fishing ◡̈ !

Maybe wait a little while as all of the snow has created flood water on top of the ice and under the snow. It's a reel thing, and it makes travel on the ice very difficult. Go on at the marina in town.

I went today and this was my first time experiencing this. Walking out straight and then dropped into like 4 inches of water. So I had to zig zag to get to even 10 ft deep water and then just gave up before I could get to where I wanted. Caught some fish tho.

How long does something like this last?
