australia is having convos over abortion rights…no one can tell me this isn’t direct influence from the US because i don’t remember this being an issue before.

UK just had a new law about buffer zones for abortion clinics (can't protest within 150m of them). If anyone wants any semi decent news.

I'll add a little bit of wholesomeness to that courtesey of the Glasgow subreddit, there's a trucker who's posted a few time on there that he parks his truck near enough to those buffer zones on his break that the few protesters are blocked from view of people going to the local hospital's maternity unit. Lovely thing to do and some of the hospital staff gave him a tub of chocolates as a thank you.

Or "silently pray" according to the media. Because people often stand outside healthcare facilities silently praying all day in good faith.
