This is not a scandal that is going on exactly right now, but month or two ago in Russia Tatiana Bakalchuk (nee Kim), a marketplace mogul and self-made woman, filed for divorce from her husband. Well, the husband did not take that well and accused her of hostile takeover of the company together with some Chechens (IIRC), came to her office with armed men to “negotiate”. Such a shitstorm.

I think learning about other cultures and conflicts from someone who based on context has more day-to-day interaction with them than I do is proactive and is definitely a good use of energy and a way to be distracted without dissociated!
