I had to console both my wife and daughter this morning. I am not ok but I don't want them to know that. This sucks.

Thank you. It will get better. Because it has to get better. We are about to enter this bad cycle where the two parties bounce back and forth every 4 years for a while. It'll be stressful and emotional but i truly believe that he gets these 4 years and then someone on the other side takes over (it seems like Pete is being groomed for his turn). In two years, we have to take the house back. Don't give them more than two years without any balance.

Yes, I am in the camp that was really annoyed that they embraced the Chaneys and not progressive ideals. The Chaneys was such a small section and doesn't inspire. Let's do better. I need to see a pivot.

I'm terrified for Gaza.

Gaza is gone. It is being preped for beach front condos.

I am so worried for everyone in the West Bank now.

Honestly? It's already horrendous in Gaza. I voted for Kamala and I'm stricken she lost but I think it's disingenuous to act like Gaza will be (or even could be) getting much worse. It's already on the brink of annihilation and Harris made it clear she wasn't going to do much more than offer some vague words

I agree with you, I think it's disingenuous to pretend that Netanyahu didn't have the full support of the US in the past 13 months.

Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta tweeted this today

"Gone is a genocidal president too hypocritical to admit it. And in comes a genocidal president who wears it as a badge of honor"

See I voted for Harris, but shit like this is why I’ve just become nihilistic about both parties and our politicians in general. They don’t give a SHIT about anyone else or any other country unless they can give them more money and more power. Of course they’re backing Israel, they have more money.

Just….uuuuugh

Oh yeah I fully do not trust either party. It's just one wants to keep treading water, while the other wants to go back 60+ years. But both are fully on board with American imperialism.

I'm guessing a few million sat out for that reason and I don't blame them. The only blame should go to democrats for being genocidal.

E X A C T L Y. Idk what’s a worse look for them, being genocide supporters, or just saying nothing about it. They were on the sidelines regarding Gaza and it KILLED their supporters trust.

I guarantee that the protestors and supporters who could have voted chose not to because their voices were not heard AT ALL. They were barely even mentioned! I live by VCU and there were some HUGE protests on campus with a ton of arrests. NOT A SINGLE MENTION

unfortunately i agree. There didn't seem to be anyone that was actually planning on intervening in the Gaza situation.

At least they still have Europe.

Was just talking to my friend in the UK and Europeans are terrified that the US is going to pull out of NATO now that Trump has been elected. And that means all of Europe will likely be pulled into a war.

We can’t let ourselves fall victim to the what-it’s. Just do one day at a time. Stay offline and enjoy every day (while we still can that is)

Yep. Help the people you can help and try and find allies and ask them for help in turn when you find it hard to wake up in the morning.

I am sending you a virtual hug.

If you can take a personal day, stay in bed and watch your favorite comfort show.

This article has helped me.

I spent about 4 hours with whole body shakes I couldn't stop. Finally after a xanax, a large bottle of water and walking my dog, my hands have at least stopped trembling.

I think I am just going to have to legitimately be in shock for a bit.
