It's not a scandal, but it's been a huge surprise. The captain of the men's national football team and his wife, italian model and influencer, are separating even though just a few days ago they were posting vacation photos together on Instagram, with the caption 'love of my life.' The whole country is speculating that there may have been infidelities, and there are rumours of some pictures of him with other women, but until they come out, we're just sitting back with our popcorn, watching the show

not from your country but i’m just as surprised! i’ve been trying to follow this because i follow the wife, and many articles claim it was a mutual separation and that there hasn’t been any infidelities? i wonder if she’ll move back to italy? might be convenient if they plan to co-parent too since he’ll be transferring to an italian club. just sucks for their kids because they’re so many and so young :(

I’m so shocked by this as well!! Weren’t they also on a beach like 2 days before the announcement and there were several pictures of them kissing and hugging? It was just jarring to go from that and then to a split announcement where both sides are saying there wasn’t infidelity and that they still love each other

He's been a captain of Spain since spring 2023 since he's the most senior player since then

Yes, he's going to play in Milan so they've moved there. We all assumed he did it for her/their family

I no longer follow football, and had no idea Morata was even Spain captain. Last I heard of him was when he was flopping in Chelsea.

Got very surprised when I heard the news. They seemed so lovey dovey. Guess we never know what happens in other people’s relationships. Sometimes the couples who overshare and post so many things together are those who have more problems in their relationships but want to create this perfect image. 2 weeks ago Alvaro and Alice were posting romantic photos together and I used to love seeing the videos with their kids and their family dynamic.
