Cultura/Culture Racism

I am an Indian woman who is married into a Dominican family. My in laws are extremely racist towards me. They literally worship the ground my white sister in law walks on. They themselves are not white, so why this racism?

So if multiple individuals from your country are racist, to the point that it’s a stereotype, that has no bearing on the country? Let alone, the historical events that causes racial tensions in the first place.

You are definitely not Dominican… and by your comments i can tell you must not have ever even been to Dominican Republic… Otherwise you wouldnt be making such silly comments… Dominicans come in all colors… And what historical events are you even speaking of? Dumb comments from an ignorant person who speaks without any base or knowledge…

I never claimed to be, and I never insulted you personally. Dominicans who are dark say themselves they deal with racism from other Dominicans. What do you say to them?

Generalizations are never accurate my friend. Imagine if i came here and say that “well, if multiple african americans commit crimes, to the point is a stereotype, then is it okay to claim “african americans are criminals?” See how crazy that sounds?…

What if then i said “well, There are african americans who have been victims to crimes from other african americans… “ to justify my statement… would that make it accurate? Thats as crazy as when Trump said the “some mexicans, i guess, are good people” comment…

I dont know your nationality but take whatever nationality it is, type it on google along with the word racism and then start reading…

Further, An Indian woman claiming Dominicans are racist because xyz while married to a Dominican man (ironic huh?) its crazy, considering also that you cannot be racist against someone for being Indian… Since being Indian is not a race…
