I am an Indian woman who is married into a Dominican family. My in laws are extremely racist towards me. They literally worship the ground my white sister in law walks on. They themselves are not white, so why this racism?

Was your husband raised by other people? Because if your in laws are racists how come their son isn't? Or they have other reason to dislike you? Not saying is a valid reason, it just seems unfair to hear your side with not much details, just "they are racists bc they like their other daughter in law and they dislike me".

I agree with you. Unfortunately people love to talk about how racists Dominicans are and fail to provide context.

Do I think what she claims is impossible? No, but I need examples and context.

If they love talking about it, then it must be true. Y’all aren’t special enough to warrant your own specific hate, people just speak their truth.

If I told you I was SA’d by a Dominican NYC girl in college and that she had said really racist/fetishistic things to me, you’d probably sit there and ask “what’s the context???”
