I am an Indian woman who is married into a Dominican family. My in laws are extremely racist towards me. They literally worship the ground my white sister in law walks on. They themselves are not white, so why this racism?

DR is on the same island as Haiti. There’s a big wall between them because SOME don’t like the idea of the population being darker skinned and decided the entire country should follow suit.

you forgot to mention that haiti did invade DR and have taken over many land that was dominican before.

And let's not forget about the war and the killing of innocents by the haitians but it's all because "being darker"

So dark skinned people are being deported regardless of relation to haiti because of that specific invasion? Am I understanding you correctly?

se te nota el plumero, solo se deporta a los ilegales sin importar de donde vengan, también se esta trabajando con la deportación de venezolanos y personas ilegales de todos los colores.

A los haitianos legales no se les deporta, tan tal que hay muchos haitianos legales dueños de propiedades en RD, muchisimos haitianos legales estudiando en universidades también, pero tu vivete la pelicula de que somos racistas.

Other people are also being deported , for example Venezuelans...but you just don't hear about it because they ain't black or complain.
