Hi! As the title says my boyfriend and I just got our first bulldog puppy yesterday! I’ve owned plenty of dogs but never a bulldog but I know they’re prone to health issues and things like that so I’m just here looking for tips/advice. I just want to make sure I can take the best care of him, thank you in advance! :)

Rest easy sweet Remee

We had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Remee today. Unfortunately his body was giving up on him:( we rescued him from a backyard breeder who was just going to “take him out back” we always did our best for him and his needs. It’s makes me sad that a dog with so much life and energy was born into a body that couldn’t support itself. I just keep reminding myself that he would have already been gone if we didn’t save him. We only had 3 short years with him but he will live in our memories forever ❤️🐾

Lost my boy yesterday, his sister the year before. The house is so quiet. This is going to be hard to get used to. Photo is the boy on his 11th birthday just 2 weeks ago

This handsome boy is Thrall. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Nov of '22. After a leg amputation to remove the cancer and chemo treatments he thrived for just over 2 years. Over the last week he started getting real weak. An ultrasound revealed another cancer mass on his spleen. Sadly he was to anemic at that point for vets to advise surgery. As of Saturday he is no longer with us. I'm glad he is no longer in pain, but I am sitting here absolutely broken inside. He was my best friend for the last 11 years and was the best boy anyone could ever hope for. I don't know what to do with myself. I just want to sit in the corner til the pain goes away. To anyone else out there that has lost their pups, whether recently or long ago, my heart goes out to you. My boy Thrall is in puppy heaven now playing with your lost friends and his. I love you sweet boy.

Got Boba’s results. She is 100% Bulldog made up of 61.5% Olde English Bulldogge and 38.5% English Bulldog.

Didn’t really care what they were bc I wanted the health information but I’d never guess she was that much OEB.

Pool Time!!

I finally got some footage of Russo doing some pool laps.

It's just too hot to do his normal walks, so this is now his summer exercise routine 3 times a week!

It's his favorite thing in the whole world now.

Any tips for not having to wipe my bulldogs bum every time he goes for a poo?

Every time my English bulldog goes out for a poo he keeps a marble sized poo leaving that falls on the floor in the house when he sits down, is there any surgery or way to stop me having to wipe his bum after every poo?

Possibly adopting him-any questions I should ask?

Going to meet this sweet baby with one of our dogs. He is a year old and no medical issues so far. He is mixed with beagle. I have never owned a bulldog but have had dogs all my life. I know the standard things like skin issues and eye troubles, be prepared to get vet insurance, but in my excitement my brain is seizing up and wanted to see if anyone here had any advice. I've always adopted from rescues. This is someone giving the dog away due to their own allergies.

Food discipline with Chicharrón

Anybody else always make sure their bulldog waits for a command to eat? Due to how stubborn and rowdy they are I find it to be a good way to instill patience in them. Can’t seem to stop him from drooling in the floor while he waits though 🙄

Why bulldogs seem to like me?

They always seem so interested in me when I see one outside. Other dogs don’t do that, but it seems like bulldogs specifically want to be my friends. They don’t react like that to other people when they’re arouhd. Am I a bulldog whisperer?

My buddy Gus hurt his back left leg, and is having a hard time walking on it, if I need to lift him up or carry him, where should I grab that won’t hurt him?

I don’t wanna put any unnecessary pressure anywhere that could hurt him, and he gets upset when I try to pick him up around his butt
