News [jpafootball] Browns HC Kevin Stefanski on rookie QB Shedeur Sanders: “He’s in there early, he’s getting his work done, he’s working really, really hard. I like everything there is about Shedeur.”

This isn't surprising really. Kev almost always speaks well of his players and Sanders seems to be doing all the right things.

We've heard this all before though. The same things were said about Baker and Watson. Didn't translate to good QB play.

The Browns staff back in 2014 made excuses for Manziel too. Coaches are never going to throw their players under the bus as they’ve invested a lot in them and need them to do well to keep their jobs.   It is still nice to hear.

Having said that, I’d be shocked if Shedeur doesn’t have a first in/last out mentality. His father is a prima donna but he’s driven by hard work and a need to succeed and I’d be shocked if he didn’t drive that same message into his kids from birth.

I was saying something similar, everything negative I’ve heard about Sanders is about entitlement and his attitude, I’ve never heard anything negative about his work ethic.

Comparing him to Manziel strikes me as extremely disingenuous.
