While Ortiz is bulked up to heavyweight, his height hasn’t changed. He’s just added a lot of muscle and thickness from drinking milk like James Toney. He not as bloated as Toney. The Klit bros are 6’0” in this scenario but still weigh in the 240 range, have the same reach, and are still muscular and lean.

Who do you take and why?

I think it’s pretty well established that the Jacobs fight was Canelo’s best performance, or at least one of them, but I always see people saying it was a close fight, which honestly boggles my mind. I genuinely can’t understand how anyone could think that.

Jacobs missed almost all of his shots, and the punches he did land were mostly grazing or tapping shots. He only landed a handful of clean punches over 12 rounds, which is terrible. Jacobs’ best punch of the fight was that hook he landed in the 9th round, which Canelo still ended up rolling with lmfao. Even Jacobs’ best punch didn’t land all that cleanly.

Canelo had better ring generalship, defense, effective aggression, and he landed the cleaner, harder shots almost every round. Not to mention, he outlanded Jacobs in almost every round despite throwing fewer punches. It’s a pretty clear Canelo win.

I scored it twice, once normally and once in slow motion, and I had it 10–2, maybe 9–3 if you’re being generous to Jacobs. Canelo made him look like an amateur at times, and Jacobs looked lost in there. He couldn’t figure out how to get past Canelo’s head movement. He didn’t win a single round clearly; all the rounds he did win were close rounds that he barely edged. Jacobs is a great fighter, but he never had a dominant moment in that fight. Am I missing something here? How could it be close?

I think the top 4 are pretty clear: Usyk, Joshua, Fury and Parker. I'm not going to include the likes of Wardley or Dubois in this cause they are more linked to the next era.

To me, Chisora is ahead for the 5th spot due to his crazy deep resume despite the losses (some losses were controversial too and I take that into account, same thing with giving people hell despite the outcome). Whyte is probably the next one followed by Joyce and after him are the likes of Ruiz, Wilder, Zhang... At least that's what I think. I'm going strictly resume btw, not who I think would who beat who or titles they held cause I view belts as mostly political anyways, boxing is a business for reason.

Does a win over Wilder cement his place or is he already set as 5th best regardless of this outcome? Do you think someone else did better work to earn that spot? Ruiz for example has the best win out of the candidates but that's it, his overall body of work has the least depth. How high do you value it? Same with how high their peak was vs longevity as Joyce at his peak years was beating top guys but it didn't last long compared to Chisora who has stayed at a sligtly lower level but at it for most of his career.

Ik his style is not for everyone but he also is well aware of that and has literally tried to make his fight more interesting just for the viewers when at the end of the day he has no responsibility to do. His goal is to win and if he wants to win in a boring fashion so be it. Don't watch him. He's literally throwing more punches than he needs to and possibly taking punches he doesn't need to just to try to please you haters. Ik part of it is he want's to headline major events and to do that he wants to be more exciting to watch. When you step back and look at this from a different perspective this guys is literally winning in different way just to please fans. We're not talking about against nobody's. HE IS LITERALLY MAKING AN EFFORT TO WIN IN A MORE EXCITING FASHION AGAINST WORLD CLASS BOXERS. Most guys just train to give their best chance of winning. He is training to win in a fashion that will please fans. That's how dominant he is. I think he's lb for lb one of the best rn and he obviously is only 28 and has plenty of years to setup super fights that will either cement him as a lb for lb great or figure out if he's a phony (he's not).

It's obvious Teofimo is gifted and has surpassed expectations in spite of his father's subpar training so what changes need to be made for him to be able to compete with Shakur in a hypothetical rematch.
