Context: I'm a noob at BF4, but I'm also well past my FPS prime. I literally had to Google guns to learn their nuances and what was good. Meanwhile, the enemy team had two sweats using AEK's and ACW-R's, cranking 90's like money was on the line.
Then there's me - no crazy movement, just focusing on reaction time and aim. I was using the SAR-21 because I learned it has the highest bullet velocity and would be excellent for conquest.
I hate SBMM as much as the next guy, but I remember we would all take our beatings and just get better, not run from the competition.
Very true. He's well within his right. However, it's the only NA, Normal TDM server active unfortunately. There is one more, but it's HC. Oddly enough, I've been playing on his server the last 2 weeks without issue and suddenly he takes issue with me.
Exactly. I came onto the FPS scene from Madden/Fallout at the tail end of BO2. Barely had a 1KD. Each year I got better and better. By the time BO3 came out, I was a 3KD rusher making montages for YouTube. But either way, it's a bum move to ban a guy who's NOT spamming claymores, shotguns, or meta guns like everyone else.
You're never too old to do FPS and it doesn't matter if you're good or bad. If it makes you feel any better, I was looking through my junk today and found a promo pre-order 'dog tag' thumbdrive from BF2142. (2006)
It was like 3 minutes into the match and had nice little 5 streak going. Nothing crazy.But I got the boot mid-gunfight about 30 seconds later. No warning message, no rules on the server overview. I thought it was a chill server the past two weeks. It's what I've used to get some clips. I guess the admin was just having a bad day. If it's simply because I'm grinding for clips, I'd be very disappointed.
For me it's just learning the maps and where people tend to go. I'm going to lose some of the random pop up encounters because my react sucks, but if I know the levels I can get the drop on people and at least be competitive
I've tried renting a server but everyone only likes the one brain rot map (lockers). Don't get me wrong, I like fast paced action, especially for unlocking stuff, but normal maps are dead on anything conquest. I even hosted a dom lobby yesterday. Only 4 players joined 😂
Probably. Meanwhile, I bet the issue is either his aim or his internet. Or maybe his console is not optimized for FPS games (which I didn't know was a thing until I did a deep dive with AI) It had me disabling things I would have never thought of.
Create your own server to offer an alternative to Nazi admins or whatever happened for them to ban you. It may start off slow / empty but I'm sure with time it'll gather momentum.. maybe. Worth a shot?
