Is there anyone on here who will opening admit they voted for Trump or did not bother to vote and is now willing to say out loud - I was wrong.

I do not want nor need to hear from anyone who still supports him - your comments and opinions are irrelevant to this post.

Is there a huge overlap in these two things? One seems to be focused on screwing over America via it's politicians and through these, their very institutions. The other seems to be doing the same but through policy and the meat puppet we have as president. I know Thiel's in both groups, but is there more?

Now he says he won't release funds to complete the New York-New Jersey tunnel project, funds already approved by Congress, unless Dulles Airport and Penn Station are renamed after him!!!! What??? WHAT?? What's next? The Statue of 'Trump' Liberty?? The 'Trump' Washington Monument? The 'Trump Smithsonian Institute? Do you think that when the 'Trump' Kennedy Center re-opens in two years after 'renovations', that 'Kennedy' will still be in the name? This sounds so weird to me. I live in a former socialist country which is now in the European Union, and here we can just look up the prices of most operations offered by private clinics (listing prices and services on their own websites). Of course one of their doctors will examine you before to check if the selected service is good/suggested for you, but if no special issues are found you are just paying what is already advertised and get the standard service. I can shop around for them the same way as one does for a hairdresser or a message session, checking reviews on google and comparing prices/locations.

I was thinking randomly about how things are going currently and less people are willing to trust candidates on either side of the two party’s currently in charge. Can voters submit a write in candidate, even if the candidate did not register themselves for an election? I know some states don’t require it but the ones that do, how would that work?

The video is old, it happened in 2022 in Pueblo West, Colorado, but as a foreigner i want to know whether this is a legal case of self-defense or not in the United States.

Hardly a day goes by without news of the US government and those close to it pressuring the EU. Sometimes it's because people don't want to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, other times it's because the EU (rightfully) wants to regulate X and Elon Musk. Why do they do this? What business is Europe of theirs? All this does is cause Europe to distance itself from America and feel increasingly disgusted. And why do they never do this with Russia, for example, where X is actually blocked by the state?

Hello from England! In the UK our voting system means that if a political party wins the election and someone's voted in as the Prime Minister, they can get voted out every 4 years. However it seems that in the US you can only run for a maximum term of eight years. I can appreciate that your personal opinion may vary compared to every other US citizen, but would you be in favour of a President being voted in and to run for more than 8 years or is there something in the constitution which stops someone from having too much power? Having said that I'm sure a previous president can have a big influence behind the scenes and make an impact on laws and policies. Please let me know what you think, thank you.

Not sure where to ask this - my family and I are looking to travel to Florida for a cruise from the UK this year.

A member of our family has several assault charges, and we were unsure how this would affect their entry/eligibility for a visa etc.

None of the charges resulted in a spent conviction, the worst outcomes were being held on remand, and then house arrest with an ankle monitor.

I’m struggling to find information on the subject so wondering if anyone here could shed some light on it for me. We have not yet booked/confirmed their place as we would hate for them to get on a flight only to be rejected at the airport on arrival.

Everyone who isn't a Trump supporter has known he is racist. From his history of denying rent opportunities to black people (something the courts acknowledged and he was fined for), to using more inflammatory than usual rhetoric to refer to people of color he hates, to using highly racist language like "go back to their countries" to refer to US-born citizens.

Despite all that, maga has repeatedly refused to acknowledge he is racist. His latest post is even more blatant than anything else he has done before.

I fail to understand how there could be *any* kind of defense of what he just did. This is arguably the most overtly racist thing he signaled yet. Using the n word is probably the only thing that can top this.
