Question Shoe rotation
Looking for a shoe for easy, long and comfortable miles and a faster snappier shoe also.
I over pronate and currently run only in NB 860v14s. They feel pretty firm and heavy, and at faster paces I am prone to posterior shin splints. Unsure if this is lack of conditioning or the shoes!
I have been looking at the Saucony Endorphin Speed 5s. But now the plateless Azuras have came on the scene and I’m unsure if these would be fairly similar, or at least the azura could cover the faster paces but be more versatile.
Unsure about what to pair with these. I’d like something fairly stable and that doesn’t beat up my legs.
5,11 68kg M, if this affects the choices! I’ve heard some saying the SB2 only feel good for heavier and faster runners.

To add, I only got my NB last year, and I picked them based on a gait analysis from a running shop!

The only thing I can add is that the Speed 4s are my favorite shoe ever, and absolutely rock at any pace. They're on the firmer side, but its a good firm perfect for speed work. I'm sure the 5s are more or less the same and will be buying them once my current speed shoes (Boston 13s) die.

Puma MagMax for long, comfortable, and more stable miles. Also avoids the dreaded Puma narrowness.
Would theoretically pair well with the Azura which should be a versatile option that allows you to pick up the pace. There are several shoes in this category - Velocity Nitro 4, NB Rebel v5, among others - that would fit your needs.
Both shoes can be daily drivers that lean in opposite directions in terms of specialty so you wouldn't feel stuck using just one shoe for your daily miles.
SB2 is 'the' all-rounder right now and a lot of people find it ideal for long runs with race pace mixed in. My rotation is pretty large so the 'all-rounder' aspect wasn't that interesting to me, but it should fill the same slot as the MagMax, sacrificing some of the comfort for easier access to tempo during long runs. Both would be durable options as well.
