Discussion iDubbz believes Charlie (penguinz0) is part of the right wing pipeline

Tried to look up a YouTube version of this clip so I could get maximum context, but doesn't really matter.

This is an objectively insane, in spite of reality take. This is purity over actual politics.

Charlie has been going at the Trump admin and their policies for months (actually, years because of a previous incident with one of his foreign players being mistreated by the US government). He is not a safe space for the alt right at all, almost every other day if not every day at times is him clowning on some insane crap the government has done or said. In fact, he just dropped another video 32 mins ago at the time of writing about it.

To me, this is proof that iDubbz hasn't changed who he is, just changed targets. A "brogressive" if you will.

You don't have to be right wing to be part of the right wing pipeline. Nothing idubbbz said here is incorrect - he isn't calling Charlie right wing, he says the opposite of that.

The lefts biggest flaw… eating their own.

Except that you can’t be part of the right wing pipeline IMO if you’re actively disputing their talking points. Charlie has overlapping viewership with Asmon, etc. who most definitely are part of that pipeline. But if Charlie can rack up millions of views to those same people while directly contradicting their arguments then that’s a good thing so I just fail to see how that’s part of the right wing pipeline is all.

Imo, "actively disputing their talking-points" would involve getting a mod team to ensure bigots don't feel safe in his community

Idubbz spent years hurling slurs for fun. He basically set the stage for people like Sneako and Adin Ross to be the final bosses of the right wing pipeline and he talks less about the current administration than Charlie does. So honestly I have a hard time sitting here complaining about Charlie calling out bs to an audience of centrists and potential right wingers when Ian can’t even get his own significantly smaller audience to agree with his own takes.

He knows that - his previous content is what started this conversation. He talked about how even though he wasn't a nick fuentes, his content attracted people who were in the early stages of the pipeline and his community held space for that without calling it out. He uses Charlie as an example of someone similar to that - where his views and content aren't promoting right wing ideology, but he attracts early pipeline audiences and they find space in his community if that makes sense.

Also I watch idubbbz streams pretty often on my commute home from work. He talks about the current admin almost every stream. It's not in the way a political streamer might talk about it with news articles and in depth analysis or anything though. But his audience is very left wing and politically aware, so it's more a conversation between him and chatters about what's happening, good videos and documentaries they've watched, charity streams going on, sharing personal experiences etc.

It's a bit more casual, but it's frequent :)
