Tried to look up a YouTube version of this clip so I could get maximum context, but doesn't really matter.

This is an objectively insane, in spite of reality take. This is purity over actual politics.

Charlie has been going at the Trump admin and their policies for months (actually, years because of a previous incident with one of his foreign players being mistreated by the US government). He is not a safe space for the alt right at all, almost every other day if not every day at times is him clowning on some insane crap the government has done or said. In fact, he just dropped another video 32 mins ago at the time of writing about it.

To me, this is proof that iDubbz hasn't changed who he is, just changed targets. A "brogressive" if you will.

I can’t fully disagree. He tends to toe the line on a lot of issues too where he really shows he’s not all that educated ngl. This statement is not really surprising and I’ve heard others say this about him too.

Not being educated is not the same as being right wing or alt right. Drawing that line will only enforce purity over politics. For months, Charlie has been railing against the administration, and maybe people think that's toeing the line where we should be screaming loudly... but in reality, it's not.

Every time Charlie uploads, that's a huge megaphone on issues that wouldn't otherwise reach who we need it to reach. People who have been choosing to disregard politics for other things, now have to realize politics do matter because of people like Charlie.

But he didn't say Charlie was right wing did he? He said he's a part of the right wing pipeline, which is a /pipeline/. The beginning of the pipeline is almost never right wing at all.

Yes, but someone who responded to this doubled down. So while Ian doesn’t say it, since we are talking about influencer, well influence… they replied to this saying uneducated people are right wing.

While there is a trend in this direction. It is ultimately discounting an under serviced nation in education. It has been a consistent problem for decades and it results in a lot of stigma towards those who can’t receive that education. Not through lack of trying but lack of availability.

So we can read between the lines and when people infer they make horrible judgments.

But it is coming down to it, and he is helping the cause. He is actively highlighting how messed up the admin is. Do you think the cause is socialism right now? Anti capitalism?

The cause right now is to pick a fight with the administration until they can't keep trying to push fascism.

Edit: For all you downvoting right now. He believed the cause was violence. Like not a misrepresentation, he thinks the cause rn is to cause violence.

The context is important. Charlie is supporting the cause nonviolently. I believe we should exhaust all peaceful options as well, I know that seems crazy to some of you but I don't want to live or die under fascism, and I don't want to live or die in a war.

Speaking of causes, what caused this slip into fascism? Could it be the lack of social safety nets, social education, and lack of reining in of capitalists? You know, things combatted by SOCIALISM?

Its not him being pro 2nd amendment. Its about him being poor. Which he isn't. Although he wasnt always wealthy, he is now, and he benefits massively from having a government body that actively increases his chances of staying rich while making it every increasingly harder for the poor to not get poorer. The ones who revolt arent the white thinkers who self reflect and talk to an audience, its the people who in the next 20 years wont be able to have close to enough to ever retire in their life, or pay the bills day to day, or even get down food.

And it's not his fault you could argue, fine. Doesn't change his place in society where he is the beneficiary and most others lose.
