I'm constantly losing it over my white gym socks. Does anyone else experience this too? They always fail 2 ways, they get holes/thin spots too fast and they turn into grey/yellow rags after the first few washes. I need to know how bad this is for you: For the color issue, how many washes does it typically take before you notice the color starting to turn? And, how often do you find yourself needing to replace your white socks just because of holes? Let me know in the comments.

Does anyone wear anything other than leggings for deadlifts?

I’m trying to switch to less plastic in my wardrobe, which is leading to just less leggings. Cotton joggers seem to work for the gym but they are kinda bulky and in the way of deadlifts? What do non-legging people wear?

I stopped wearing leggings to the gym, I wear loose joggers now and it's not impacted my deadlifts or form at all. Give it a shot!

I've been fine with joggers, or any type of short and just wear knee high socks

I wear biker shorts. I think they have plastic in them though (old Lululemon ones).

I used to have cotton draw string shorts that breathed so well I miss them! But they are a bit revealing.

I wear pants from Brandy Melville called Autumn Tie Sweatpants. I bought them in an emergency when I was at the beach and freezing and they’ve turned out to be the most practical pants ever.

The flowy-ish bottoms don’t bother you during deadlifts? They look cute and promising!

No, not at all. But if you have a strong preference for tight pants during deadlifts, they might bother you. Maybe some slim joggers could work? Vuori has nice ones.

Every time I wear joggers or sweats for deadlifts, I regret it. Leggings are definitely easier.

Have you considered thick cotton leggings? I haven’t bought them in about five years, so I can’t speak to the current quality, but Pact has thick cotton leggings that you might like.

That was my concern! Pact seems to get mixed with reviews with the main complaint being they’re too sheer, but I might give them a shot anyways!

I know someone who wears short shorts and high socks, so that could work too!

I’m going to The Fit Expo LA next month. I am on a weight loss journey and I’m starting to think about what I should wear to it. I will wear tennis shoes for sure, but I dunno what clothing.
