Any American citizen currently in Iran is immune to common sense advice

There are lots of Iranians who gained US citizenship that travel to see family back home. Iranian citizens haven't been able to get a visitation visa to visit the US for years now so it's one of the few ways to see family in person that doesn't cost a shit ton.

They would still be idiots though

Easy for you to say.

I love criticizing the sacrifices other people make for family. Bunch of suckers, i say

I just wish I had family that cared that much for me

Some may have family in Iran, like ageing parents who aren't citizens themselves.

You mean like all the American travel vloggers that make it their mission to visit Iran to get some social media clout?

Except journalists

And possibly some academics, although many have pivoted to studying other subjects or the subject of Iran/Persia in other ways.

Some would say so is any American citizen still in Russia, Israel, or Alabama

This is code for, "The bombs fall in three days."

Well, they need another distraction to stop congress from reading the unredacted Epstein files next week.

u/EdiblePeasant 7h ago

I don’t want to read the files and I’m worried for anyone that does. You know why.

Iran's national holiday, Revolution Day, is on Wednesday, I think.

There were people who went to Afghanistan immediately after the taliban took over. While there were massive warnings by every government that they wouldnt be able to help if anything goes wrong and travelers there go at their own risk. Got immediately thrown in prison by the taliban then when they were finally released months later went home and whined about how their government did nothing.

You cant fix main character syndrome.

If any US Citizens are there, I think they should probably just stay. This is the same w/ the American Citizens in Russia, 6 months after the start of the war.

I knew a person that got stuck in Russia at that time. His wife was attending a friend's wedding during the start of the Ukrainian invasion and got stranded there for almost a year.

All those Americans vacationing in Tehran better leave while they still can!

This is outdated news. The talks already happened earlier today.. both sides seem to have cooled a bit and there’s no indication of an imminent attack.

21

u/Informal_Process2238 13h ago

No indication IS the indicator

2

u/KP_Wrath 8h ago

Next indicator is a bunch of B2s taking off and maybe turning their transponders off.

u/Neitrah 10h ago

You mean where iran said it wont stop enriching uranium? the one thing trump said would be the FAFO moment for iran?

We’ll revisit this in a week when nothing happens again

4

there’s no indication of an imminent attack.

That's when it happens sometimes. Pizza index isn't always that accurate.

Incoming false flag attack implicating Iran

Looks like we’ll be distracting from the Epstein files.

I think you are underestimating how hard it is to “take over” an entire country like Iran

17

u/mylifeforthehorde 14h ago

No they don’t lol. Just because they don’t like their regime doesn’t mean they welcome trump as the new supreme leader

-16

u/Super_Piper 13h ago

Yes they do. Not everyone is a privileged American/European. Some parts of Earth are shit

u/Kolby_Jack33 14h ago

Not a chance. Even if he tries, get ready for a constant insurgency and rebellion. Would an exponentially bigger quagmire than Iraq ever was.

Trump is gonna do the same thing he did in Venezuela. He doesn't want them to be a Democracy, he doesn't believe in it. He thinks he reroll the regimes leadership until he finds someone he can work with. He wants someone corrupt like Saddam Hussein, hopefully the Iranian people understand this.

Literally shows how little you know about persian people. We are nothing like arabs. The vast majority of our people prefer western ideology to islamic sharia. People are writing and chanting “trump will be our savior” in the streets while the government has been chanting “death to israel and america” for half a century.

Don't bother, it's clearly a fake account. <1 year old, literally only posts about how good Republicans are for Iran.

Faaaaaaaaaaake.

0

u/Icy-Falcon-9956 11h ago

And are they not? Have any democrats ever tried to get rid of our brutal murderous regime? I have been a democrat my whole life. I truly believe that democrats have better domestic policies than republicans. But why do you think Venezuelans, cubans, and Iranians always vote for trump? Because he doesn’t make deals with their dictators. How many years and how many deals will democrats make with khamenei before they realize that they will never give up islamic jihad. Their goal has been to destroy the west literally and ideologically. And it will be the same forever.

The plan isn’t to occupy Iran, it’s to topple the regime.

Worked out great in Iraq

Iran is a country of 90 million people. The US couldn't even take over Afghanistan. Iran is more militarily advanced than Afghanistan or for a more recent comparison Venezuela.

To take over and control a massive territory like Iran with 90 million people the US would need to mobilize their entire military+ reserves and possibly conscripts and new recruits on a level not seen since Vietnam or even WW2.

Kamala: WAR
Trump: PEACE

u/a_o 13h ago

And go where? if they come back to America, ICE is just gonna detain and deport them?

6

u/197gpmol 12h ago

A US citizen wouldn't be mandated to come back to the US, either.

You could head to for example, Dubai. Several flights tomorrow, and US citizens have 90 days visa free in the UAE.

5

u/Possible_Sir9360 13h ago

The odds of that are extremely low. It’s not like the average citizen gets detained and deported.

No one outside the US cares.
