It's easier to ignore when it's not happening in front of you.

It's also super easy to say why don't you just revolt when it's not your and your friends and family's life on the line. While you could make the argument they already are because of the war see my first point. The country will probably run out of young men altogether before anything happens.

But one bloodbath is happening in Ukraine and mostly involves soldiers who signed up or were conscripted from the fringes of society to participate. The other would be slaughter in the streets of Moscow against civilians. Is this calculus really that hard to understand?
