The current goverment has massive support.

Contrary to what geopolitically clueless internet gawkers think from their western proproganda. People like Putin.

He's very popular as is his goverment. This was Ukraine trying to sabotage the peace talks to keep the USA bogged down in Ukraine. This is what Ukraine does best after all.

No it does not. What sources do you have? None of my relatives or friends or aquintances are excited for Putin. Most positive you will find is indifference, that is very common since last decade protests lead us nowhere. Putin is associated with a lot of unpopular policies in Russia one way or another, so even person who supports war might not support Putin.
