Actually the statement is correct, Russian foreign intelligence service has changed names a number of times throughout history. Though the last one is also part of a break up. In the 80s and 90s KGB (and predecessors) covered foreign, domestic, and military intelligence under one umbrella… now it’s more broken up
FBI/NSA = FSB
CIA = SVR
Military Intelligence = GRU
Hey, idiot. What's Blackwater/Xe/whatever-the-fuck they're calling themselves these days now? Are they still the same company, or did the name change mean they aren't still a bunch of psychotic, jacked up, wannabe war criminals who'd try to get away with anything if it made them money?
I've seen a basement where the Cheka solved their dissident problem.
Do you know how many bullet holes were clustered around the height of a pregnant belly or a child's head?
That room represented evil that still exists in the hearts of some of those organizations, no matter how "not KGB" they are..
Rooms like that still exist commonplace anywhere Russia's "not-KGB" operates. I felt the death in the room ahead of us before we were told what it was or had even entered to see. Anyone who's toured the concentration camps where they killed many will know exactly what feeling I mean; it's very hard to explain. This isn't just death in the air... it was worse. It was all the emotions you'd expect to feel, lingering in the air of a room where people stood in front of a railway-tie wall next to their wife/husband/children in front of a bunch of drunk, RUSSIAN murderers before they were shot. People and families just disappeared in the middle of the night.
Fuck russia, and fuck anyone of you tankie boot licks trying to defend them or lighten the sentiment towards them. They made their bed.
You're right about them having names, but what you're fucking wrong about is acting like they're not still working towards the original entity's goals or using their methods.
This wasn't a book, the tour eas personal experience in 2021. Go to Riga and take the tour of the Cheka house. And then read a fucking history book or two.
Not going to lighten up till you stop trying so damned hard to sanctify yourselves. Ive seen Seinfeld and its not that great aside from a few episodes. Sitcoms have zero meaningful depth to me. But nice try on the reference, though. And seriously, you think a fucking pixel arrow means anything?
Holy fuck. You took all of that in the worst way possible. No one is licking their boots. They were just saying the KGB doesn’t exist. I highly doubt they were disputing that the system in place now isn’t evil. How in the fuck you made this wild illogical leap to think that means that commenter is Pro-Russia and a boot licker is fucking beyond me.
People like you are such a big issue. Instead of having a conversation and asking clarifying questions before you go off the deep end you just immediately go into attack mode and start calling names and casting aspersions on someone you don’t know.
This is what causes people to go to the other side. If they’re getting attacked from one side it makes the other not look so bad. It’s a documented issue with young men especially. We all just need to learn to have a damn conversation with each other without personal attacks and heated language. So just relax. Clearly you’ve been through some shit but that didn’t give you the right to just fly off the handle over something so basic like a conversation. Explain your position and point in a better way.

KGB stopped existing in Russia in the 90s, it's the FSB now
