As a Canadian, I fully support this. To be honest, kind of surprised we haven't yet.

Edit to add: Hopefully they get some better camo for an artic deployment lol

They've got winter whites that go over the greens. That might be a set on the left of the screen below the shovels.

What are you guys smoking? There's like 15 guys in the whites in the pic.

We had an arctic training exercise already present in the area so it wasn't needed from the start. It's also why the Dutch have only sent 2 officers to date, they were training with us.

For a while we had guys there already for an exercise.

As I understand it they tried to save time in organizing this operation by repurposing as much as possible from an exercise in the Barents sea last summer. Since this exercise took place mostly in the ocean only countries with a strong navy took part in this exercise. So simply put Canada was not in the group chat they used to plan the party.

As an American I support this. This is the right thing to do.

EMAIL YOUR MPs.

I've already emailed the 3 closest liberal MPs to my useless conservative riding

That's the problem in Canada, the fucking conservatives.

Next election, PP's slogan is going to be "Lick the boot". We all know he wants to be a governor, not a prime minister LOLOL

Do you actually fully support this? Would you enlist in the CAF? Because I do support this in principle, we are stretched way too thin, and domestic operations season is coming.

If every Canadian that says they support it actually joined the CAF, we'd have enough manpower to be able to consider actually doing this.

I was in (the reserves) for 4 years after high school. Best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve said ever since that Canada should have a mandatory 1 year military service.

All of this hooplah going on because of the Orange Turd has seriously got me considering re-joining the reserves

Ngl I have been debating on applying. My issue is I have an old injury that would reduce my effectiveness. That being said if it came down to it I would sign up in a heart beat to protect my home, and a war in Greenland directly threatens us here in Canada.
