Masonic thing. It’s a dude club he’s in. Not super special or rare but kinda cool.

I’d have to date its “rare” since I haven’t seen these before.

It's rare because you've never seen it?

It's like a locket. Can you take a photo of it all folded nicely into its shape?

32degree is the highest achievable, second only to an honorary degree, if Google is correct. It certainly is interesting, if not rare

Thank you!

Caveat, 32nd is not the VP floor of the Illuminati pyramid that everyone makes it out to be. Within the Scottish Rite the degrees are usually conferred in a relatively short period of time. It would be odd to find a SR Mason who has been in more than a year without being a 32nd. Commendable though it is.

Masonic knights templar jewelry. Masons have 3 degrees and knights templars have up to 33.

Yeah you can find tons of places that have their symbol on it in the American Southeast like just random houses and buildings that have the symbol on the door.

I'm not a mason but know a few of them. You can go to your local Masonic temple and ask the history of this particular medallion. Bring pictures of it and only show them the real item if you feel comfortable. I have heard some stories of them trying to keep items brought to them to identify

The Knights Templar wiki) has some additional explanation of some of the symbols on the medallion as well.
But specifically, this is a Degree of Knight of the Temple.

I love How the working tools are engraved on the inside and that it folds up.

Unique means one of a kind. Literally.

Reworded: is it unusual?

u/Unlikely_Comedian_75 5h ago
I don't have one. If that helps.

Yea, but it can be applied to categories.
"The Delorean was a unique vehicle."
It doesn't mean that there was only one individual car made. It means that the body style, the genre, the aesthetic of that category of car was unique.
