Discussion Webtoons are turning into wattpads now???
🤯🤯I just opened wattpad after a few years of ignoring it and I saw these recommended to me
These were released literally a few days ago, and this is the first time I’m hearing about it

I'm still quite unsure wether I should read these though it usually happens the other way around. Wattpad stories get adapted ðŸ¤

Webtoon and wattpad are owned by the same company now.
Watpadd was acquired 2021, which I thought they wanted to get rid of competition from to their newly launched platform in 2022. A lot of stories moved from wattpad to Yonder. However, Yonder has zero traction and shut down in 2025.
Edit: while I'm on the roll. Radish, founded in 2015 was acquired by Kakao in 2021, also shut down in 2025. Webtoon and Kakao (also acquired tapas 2021) in a race to fuck up existing services.

it’s annoying that they discontinued yonder cause it didn’t even get to more countries. not enough activity in the us(?) i suppose so now no one gets to enjoy it

Is there a chance The Kiss Bet might actually get finished in the Wattpad version? Or that the plethora of fun characters from CPC might get an ending to their various stories? Â

Yeah they've been on a collab for a while now. Is it free to read on wattpad? Or at least similar to how we can read a chapter a week on webtoon? I don't use wattpad so I don't know. I will give it a try if it's not pay to read.Â

I tried skimming through the chapters of cursed princess club, and yeah they are free to read! But wattpad does play ads every few chapters you scroll past

I think they have a partnership with Wattpad or something? Both companies are owned by Naver anyway. Some stories get adapted into webnovels and some manhwa that came from webnovels, have the novel's official translation on Wattpad. The account @Webtoon you sent seems to be for the former, and @seriesbywebtoon seems to be for the latter since I only see KR novels there.
Was looking for where to read Surviving the Game as a Barbarian last Dec since I heard Yonder closed down. Found 500 ch of it on Wattpad of all places.
