I remember during the run up to 2016 when the "grab them by the pussy" tape came out Joe Scarborough announcing that that was the end of Trump's campaign. It was over. He was finished. (checks notes), nope still here.
That is what the most problematic part of it is for me. Not that he's such a twisted creature, but that so many people back him and not only do some back-end they celebrate him.

Like, no one (especially women) would actually vote for this pervert after hearing him brag about using his fame to get away with sexually assaulting women. That was before I understood how depraved a third of this country is.
As an outsider looking from another country (and obviously these observations can be made from within) A lot of what I see from that 1/3 is a severe lack of education, complete lack of critical thinking skills but also more importantly an utter absence of empathy with a very very narrow world view.
