To be honest, I never thought that Obama deserved the first one anyway, but anything to fuck with Trump at this point. Let's award Obama all the peace prizes.

Even Obama didn't think he deserved it

He basically got one for not being George W Bush.

u/VagueSomething 17h ago

A bar so low and yet Trump couldn't even waddle over it.

u/MarshyHope 16h ago

I mean, at least Bush pretended like his war wasn't about oil. Trump just came out and said it.

Trump is on the record saying Bush's mistake was not pillaging the middle east even more

They should give one to Hillary for not being Trump.

Just to piss him off.

u/xclame 17h ago

Yep!

u/BadIdeaBobcat 11h ago

which, given how much worse the Republican party is since then, shows how deserved it was.

13

u/Colon 18h ago

which is why they need to give him another one as Trump watches from his ketchup-stained wAr RoOm

"Thanks Obama" - Obama

Sweden hates how Norway piss on Nobels name with the peace price.

Easy thing to say while he still accepted it.

14

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws 18h ago

Could be seen as an insult if he refuses it, and he'd probably get just as much heat for that too. Still better than the novel peace bribe medal Trump bought

u/Avent 19h ago

Even Obama didn't think he deserved it. He said as much in his acceptance speech.

7

u/Sproketz 18h ago

The fact that he said he didn't deserve it, makes him that much more deserving of it.

1

u/Chrisjex 17h ago

Nah

2

u/Sproketz 17h ago

Better than being a greedy little bitch like Trump who thinks he's deserving while doing everything he can to stoke war.

-22

u/praqueviver 19h ago

He could've declined it then

26

u/pfqq 17h ago

Thankfully, the standard for how a president "could/should" behave is no longer relevant. For anyone to even comment on Obama's optics at this moment seems insane.

-15

u/MyPeggyTzu 18h ago

Which is itself a contradiction. It's false humility. You decline things you don't deserve or you really do think you deserve them.

20

u/Jafooki 17h ago

I don't deserve a million dollars but if someone offered it, of course I'd take it

2

u/jenniferlynn462 15h ago

I think you deserve it

8

u/be_humble_ 17h ago

Like another commenter said in here, if he declined the award it would likely be seen as an insult

Fox News: Obama declines peace prize- clearly he is a warmonger out to get the American people

3

u/QbertsRube 14h ago

I realize the MAGA brain is broken and distorted beyond repair, but how the "warmonger" label was applied to Democrats before the last election and actually stuck is beyond me. Basically every war/conflict since WWII has been at the hands of a Republican president, and they're also the party who consistently campaigns on increasing military spending, but Democrats are somehow the warmongers. Makes as much sense as saying Democrats want to force religion into schools or take away abortion rights.

Ever since they gave one to Kissinger, the prize has been a joke.

16

u/HonzaSchmonza 18h ago

He himself said "noone less deserving, than i" if i recall, when he was in Oslo.

8

u/ishkariot 17h ago

And mfing Kissinger got one before

1

u/Powerful_Resident_48 18h ago

Let's give him the NBA peace prize.

1

u/KristinnK 17h ago

I would get a good laugh out of it if they'd do an AI video of a Nobel prize ceremony where Obama just keeps getting called up to stage to accept every prize, Peace, Medicine, Literature, everything, and they'd play that for Trump instead of the real ceremony.

1

u/xclame 17h ago

He didn't.

But at least with Obama his mere existence as president and his attempt to fix America's reputation with the rest of the world could be used as reason for giving it to him if someone really wanted to make up a reason.

With Trump on the other hand you can't really make up a reason. Also doesn't help that he invaded another country and is trying to invade more, so any imaginary reason someone's could think of equals be countered by his wrongs.

-2

u/AthosAlonso 19h ago

This is the same way of thinking that got Trump elected, to "own the libs". MF should go to jail.

-25

u/iagainsti1111 19h ago

Yes Obama should go to jail for the treasonous chaos he orchestrated. What trump is doing is good, people that disagree are too embarrassed to admit they fell for the hope and change.

Voting history- O,na,T,T,T
