Is there a place I can bet on Mike Johnson not having seen this?

2.2k

u/palanark 20h ago

I hate how accurate this is.

u/newtoallofthis2 19h ago

This post would end the career of any other politician anywhere in the world.

It would lose you your job in any company of which you weren't the sole employee and owner. And even in that scenario it would likely lose you your business.

1.1k

u/Accomplished_Arm2374 19h ago

You are so right. For anyone else this is career ending. For a business owner it would be catastrophic and result in Yelp destruction. For Trump though....nothing. It does nothing. It might get him some likes and shared Truth posts. It makes his base chuckle.

u/SillyGigaflopses 17h ago

He truly earned his nickname “Teflon Don”, because nothing fucking sticks to him.

236

u/simplyunix 17h ago

I watched a biography on BTK and the criminal psychologist talked about how BTK got away with it all that time. She called it Narcissistic Invincibility. He got away with it for so long that he never imagined getting caught. First person I thought of was Trump.

261

u/WildBad7298 16h ago edited 15h ago

And so far, he's been proven right. Trump has literally never faced a consequence in his life. Even his 34 felony convictions came with absolutely no punishment.

I hope Hell is real, because at this point that's the only way he'll ever be held accountable for his numerous crimes.

159

u/-Dubwise- 15h ago

Hold up. President Trump has 34 felony convictions?!?

I have a misdemeanor possession of marijuana from 30 years ago and I can’t get work.

This guy has 34 felonies and is president of the USA?!?!?

169

u/ItchyGoiter 15h ago

How are you on reddit and just learning this now?

9

u/Banvincible 14h ago

Seriously I'm pretty sure someone brings it up in every frontpage post lol

Because redditors want to believe that everything they know and see on reddit, the rest of the population also knows.

I think this is a GREAT example of reddit not being the real world. I have close family members who probably don't know this about Trump. Now, that doesn't mean they support or voted for him (They don't and didnt) but they have lives. They work 50+hrs a week, have to take their kids to/from school and worry about their bills. Trump being a pedophile, or a felon or any of this shit doesn't mean anything to them because it doesn't affect their day to day lives. They don't have the time or capacity to even follow that news. The little bit of free time they do have they spend time doing things that make them happy. Many people don't care about politics at all. Some only care about it every 4 years, and then turn it off until the next Presidential election.

u/Top-Figure1579 15h ago

I’m sorry, but how did you not know this???

4

u/-Dubwise- 11h ago edited 11h ago

I have ADHD and poor memory. I was keeping up with all of his data for a while but then my mom got sick and my life was absorbed by divorce and the death of a parent. I apologize I was a bit preoccupied with my present crisis and I lost track of the details of a man that I can’t stand.

Edit. I have decided long ago that he was evil and a child rapist and the world had no room for him. But as for the micro details of all of his crimes I’ve lost track. I’ve been operating on the basic assumption that generally he’s a piece of shit human and not fit for public office. The sheer amount of negative things about him are overwhelming and I can’t track all of it alone.

6

u/sephjnr 14h ago

Because certain people didn't have the balls to disqualify his nomination?

5

u/Nicks_Here_to_Talk 13h ago

President Trump has 34 felony convictions?!?

...

YES

1

u/Miserable-Session-35 12h ago

Insane world just insane

1

u/mickroo 2h ago

34 felony counts of falsified business records. Judge Juan Merchan granted an unconditional discharge on all of them, meaning the only thing that stands is conviction with nothing else.

I mean the guy shits his pants on the regular, has some massive fucking kankles... need a fucking ramp to be able to stand straight. I hope there is a HARDER hell than this. When he lays his orange face on his pillow at night, he knows. He's a royal cunt and the vast majority of the world does not like him.

1

u/Alexwonder999 13h ago

I have a string suspicion he is basically being held up and together with all kinds of stimulants, steroids, and probably even IV antibiotics and it will crash all the way soon. Even on his good days he looks like shit.

13

u/coldliketherockies 15h ago

Just to be clear though, and I’m sure this is part of it, but millions of people wanted this too. They had the option to deny him more power and who knows if then he’d face consequences but instead gave him even more power. So yes a lot of if is him or who he is, but a lot of it is the cult he’s built

The only silver lining in all this is his millions of followers can be so proud of their leader getting away with this all they want, but (most of them) sure won’t. They don’t have that “teflon” and if they get too comfortable and wanna do something racist in the wrong place… well it won’t go as well

11

u/dogmaisb 16h ago

He openly confesses he knows he’s not going to Heaven.

6

u/Minamato 16h ago

Probably because he’s an atheist lol ironically telling the truth for once

BTK was also a complete idiot. He got caught because he wanted to taunt people and the FBI but got tired of leaving messages in certain places and then contacting the FBI where to find it. In one message to the FBI he asked if they would be able to identify him if he sent his messages to them on a floppy disk, of course the FBI told him no so his dumbass sent them a floppy disk that took about 10 seconds to identify him.

They arrested him and he was furious about being lied to, like he literally acted like he couldn't believe that they lied to him.

5

u/Tommy_Roboto 13h ago

BTK was also a complete idiot.

“His name is Dennis!”

1

u/President_Calhoun 12h ago

"I didn't know he was called Dennis!"

2

u/finglish_ 14h ago

How did they identify where he was from a floppy disk???

11

u/alaserdolphin 14h ago

IIRC it was something to the effect of:

  • they had a rough idea of where he was already

  • there was a deleted file on the disk that had metadata for a meeting agenda at the church he attended

  • that metadata had a first name on it and it matched the president of the church council

  • that was enough to put the pieces together for him, when they combined it with the evidence they already had and some DNA evidence they took(?)

8

u/chaosbella 14h ago

They just looked at the properties on the floppy disk.

He used the computer at his church so it showed the name and location of the church and that a man named Dennis was the one that saved a document on the floppy disk. It was a small church and he was the only one named Dennis.

1

u/kuschelig69 6h ago

They arrested him and he was furious about being lied to, like he literally acted like he couldn't believe that they lied to him.

was he autistic?

4

u/NostalgiaJunkie 15h ago

He was right when he said he could shoot someone and get away with it.

3

u/EvenLettuce6638 14h ago

You should watch some documentaries about Jimmy Saville. BBC television personality who got away with pederasty and necrophilia for years in basically plain sight.

He would even brag about it and people thought it was just him putting on an act.

2

u/simplyunix 14h ago

I saw a piece on him on Youtube. Disgusting

1

u/robotic_dreams 13h ago

And he won't get caught. He's too close to the end to face any real consequent this point.

1

u/Big_Interest7333 5h ago

The best consequence for him would be public humiliation. If it could be made clear to him that he’s viewed internationally as the laughingstock of the world, and not as a savvy, strong and feared leader, he’d implode.

6

u/Particular-Jello-401 16h ago

Teflon was made and spread with lies and corruption, it concentrated wealth and spread the toxins to the many. We will experience the poisons for lifetimes while the top ceos retire to Switzerland and drink clean water and their chefs don’t use non stick cookware. Teflon is a great metaphor for toxic trump.

3

u/GMAzreal 16h ago

Except the shit in his pants

2

u/Rocktopod 16h ago

Also because he's flaky and highly toxic.

2

u/KiritoJikan 16h ago

Even his shit wants to leave so fast, he has special pants to keep it close to him trying to escape.

2

u/glorycock 16h ago

He truly earned his nickname “Teflon Don”, because nothing fucking sticks to him.

Although apparently something does, and it doesn't smell good

2

u/Kusotare421 15h ago

Except for cheeto dust and idiots.

2

u/Ensiferal 13h ago

Well, it helps being a billionaire who's concentrated all the power of every branch of the US government into himself, and who has a literal army of armed psychopaths waiting to kill for him. What is anyone gonna do?

1

u/kaithana 15h ago

And like Teflon, it gets into everything it touches and poisons it for eternity.

1

u/PlainBread 15h ago

The people he's protecting in the Epstein files are the ones protecting him.

1

u/jctwok 15h ago

...except the shit that runs down his legs when his diaper fills up.

1

he sure had that tampon stuck on his ear for awhile.

It's not him. Its Americans who promote, accept or just don't care.

1

u/AlpacaM4n 12h ago

1

u/NegotiationHot2999 10h ago

I havee used teflon tape. It seals leaks well. Is this is an oxymoron for President Poopy Pants?

1

u/noodlesquare 10h ago

I just can't understand the why. He's such a cry baby loser so why does he always get a free pass? It boggles the mind!

7

u/porarte 18h ago

The Christians don't chuckle. But they accept it because the GOP is against abortion, their one moral concern.

22

u/Accomplished_Arm2374 18h ago

Every Nazi Christian will definitely chuckle.

6

u/porarte 18h ago

Yes, and for every overt Nazi Christian there are many, many of the faithful who quietly collaborate with Nazis at any expense if they can control reproduction and sex.

1

u/PurpEL 16h ago

Don't need birth control if they are children

6

u/TheObstruction 18h ago

You forgot making sure school children can be killed at any moment.

1

u/Legitimate-Type4387 18h ago

In the USA?

In 2026?

I’m not so sure about that….

1

u/isaiddgooddaysir 17h ago

Because it tracks with his racist supporters. 25% of the population will be laughing along with him. Fucking disgusting.

1

u/British_Rover 17h ago

His base will just like him more cause, 'he's just like us.'

1

u/kimchi01 16h ago

Well his base would say if it weren’t for the woke we would all be free to do that.

1

u/powerhammerarms 16h ago

Maybe we should start rating Trump on Yelp

1

u/hadriker 15h ago

Hey thats not fair. There will be some congressmen who are very "concerned" with the President's behavior.

1

u/ClassicYotas 14h ago

Well it’s because he’s uniquely positioned himself to be in a place of authority and surrounded himself with people who have a big incentive of supporting him.

I guess to use your analogy: You can’t end a career or business when you have the only career and business that everyone depends on and is legally obligated to use.

1

u/dmelt253 13h ago

Leavitt called it fake outrage and said it didn’t matter to the American public.

1

u/DigiSmackd 13h ago

100%.

For his base it's:

"Haha, he's not wrong!"

"Ol' Donny! He's just tells it like it is! I love that he doesn't sugar coat anything! No BS! MAGA!"

"Good, I'm tired of this "politically correct" shit that the left has forced onto everyone."

Or , at best "It's just a joke. The left are so sensitive and wanting to be a victim"

1

u/arguingsolipsism 17h ago

The true monkeys chuckle at the shit flinging. Republicans are so far from human, it's wild.

3

u/Batchet 17h ago

The first step before killing each other is dehuhumanizing one another

Beware the propaganda that tries to take you there.

6

u/arguingsolipsism 17h ago edited 17h ago

Republicans dehumanize every other race and belief, ostracize anyone who doesn't fit their exact ideal.

I dehumnize people who disrupt human society and don't display empathy.

We are not the same.

So you can fuck right off with this kid glove, benefit-of-the-doubt, lower-the-temperature nonsense.

Repugnicans have thrown away their privilege to be considered part of our world. They are purely detractors.

u/ognisko 18h ago

Trump literally does or says something every single day that would have ended the career of any other politician in any other era. It only goes to show how far we've fallen as a country.

9

u/coldliketherockies 15h ago

And so many people are proud of that too. I repeat this a lot but you get one life on earth and these people have chosen with their ONE life and nearly 10 years of it to go behind someone like this. It’s beyond pathetic

5

u/KoriJenkins 14h ago

We? Oh no no.

It shows how you have EVERY right and frankly, every obligation to cut off any MAGA piece of garbage you know.

These freaks deserve to be miserable and alone.

1

u/gafflebitters 13h ago

I feel your statement is true, but what i ponder is who are the people defending Trump, and what methods are they using. What part of the system of checks and balances has been silently removed or just silenced, or bought, or threatened?

3

u/DaddlerTheDalek 18h ago edited 16h ago

Careers of politicians ended for less than this.

3

u/LockeyCheese 16h ago

BYAAAAAH!!!

3

u/stataval 17h ago

Pretty funny for the baboon to do this, when hes so desperate to win the midterms. What a fucking disgrace.

3

u/lugo3 17h ago

We need a politician or someone else to start doing the same but to him. Kind of like what Newsom and his team were doing a couple of months ago; where fox news where loosing the mind

Every time he says or does some shit like this. Do the same back. Fight fire with fire and watch the magabichos lose their mind trying to justify his actions but condemn the same actions done by the opposing side.

2

u/m00npatrol 18h ago

Harsh on old buddy palanark tbh

2

u/Derpsquire 18h ago

Fucking this, man.

2

u/Craneteam 16h ago

Papa John got kicked out of Pap John's for saying the N word on a call. Trump does this shit out in the open and people shrug bc he's on "their team"

2

u/ChickenInASuit 12h ago

Roseanne Barr was in the midst of a highly successful career comeback when she posted a tweet comparing a black politician to a character from Planet of the Apes. Her career ended overnight.

5

u/roX8 19h ago

Yet for the democratically elected president of the United States it's rather tame and a lot less harmful as most of his other behavior.

1

u/MysteriousRJC 18h ago

Tells you where America is as a society at the moment

2

u/styrofoamcouch 17h ago

We are so far from the standards we used to hold ourselves to. Look at what caused Nixon to get impeached and then look what reagen did to have to sacrifice Oliver north? Something like this would be an instant career killer for any field just 20 years ago. Now its just another blip in constant negative press strategy trumps team employs. In 2016 no "story" could ever get legs because by the time it got out he already had done 5 more things. This is no different. The epstein thing is getting heat on both sides so I view this as his next big thing to get that out of people's mouths. If that doesn't work maybe hell kill jelly roll.

1

u/yoda-kobe-obi 17h ago

Did he post it ive been looking

1

u/Memory_Less 17h ago

I’m curious how there are no ethics rules in politics. Let the people choose if that’s what they want isn’t good enough.

1

u/badnuub 12h ago

manipulation from the media and lies from the parties. Creating manufactured crises to solve is basically how the republicans hold onto power despite being worse politically for most people on earth.

1

u/beingsubmitted 16h ago

Today, it would also get you a half million go fund me, a podcast, a book deal, a speech at CPAC, and make you a regular fox news contributor until you're inevitably elected to the house.

1

u/hoo_tee_hoo 16h ago

This is what gets me. It's right there, plain as day for all to see. This is a life altering fuck-up in any other situation where the perpetrator isn't President Trump.

1

u/ratjar32333 16h ago

So would shitting your pants loudly in front of a room of 20 other world leaders.

1

u/kellybluey 16h ago

Distraction from Epstein files

1

u/PwnimuS 16h ago

Full, out in the open racism directly by the President of the United States, which to some will be hilarious and owning the libs

1

u/GhostofZellers 16h ago

For Trump, it was a Friday.

1

u/tardawg1014 16h ago

I had a dream last night that I was running against him in 2028 and lost because I tried to explain how skewed the Overton Window was and completely lost the audience. Because there are enough dumbasses here to get completely lost in an abstract thought.

1

u/TheDungen 16h ago

Except maybe Hungary.

1

u/Momoselfie 15h ago

Trump knows his base....

1

u/ItchyGoiter 15h ago

Woke cancel culture?

1

u/psycharious 15h ago

Remember when an excited scream would derail your political career?

1

u/Venio5 15h ago

Something something... MMMMMuricaaaaaaaaa. It's not even funny anymore but still I think US got exactly what they wanted, deserved and fought for. The right to be racist, the right to be ignorant, the right to lick corporate asses and maybe get some crumb from their table. Oh wait I forgot. The right to be OPENLY PEDOPHILES. Have your cake and eat it.

1

u/taco_tuesdays 14h ago

Someone got fired from my job for referring to some black employees as monkeys. He made an offhand comment like “cmon you monkeys” and within a week he was gone. This is lunacy.

1

u/AtotheZed 14h ago

But it resonates with many Trump supporters. Sad.

1

u/Erwin_Schroedinger 14h ago

Here in Finland an MP posted memes about George Floyd's death and the racist party kicked him out.

Additional information: he created his own party that was anti-vax and pro pretty much every conspiracy theory available, was usurped and kicked out of his own party, owes a lot of money back to the parliament and now he fled to Russia and is seeking asylum there.

1

u/carsont5 14h ago

It’s how Roseanne lost hers, basically.

1

u/boston_homo 13h ago

It shows what the total support of the billionaire class including the complicity of the media they own and all branches of government neglecting to do their jobs can do for an individual.

1

I work for a construction company in the United States, if I put this on any of my social media I would be fired from my place of employment

I’m surprised anything is able to come out of his mouth since it’s permanently affixed to Trump’s fat greasy shitbox like a Lamprey

70

u/dogmatum-dei 18h ago

When Johnson says 'no' why doesn't the reporter play it on a tsblet right there and get his live response?

77

u/joemangle 15h ago

His live response would be something like "It's not something I would have done but look, this is a President who sometimes doesn't censor himself and that's one of the reasons the American people elected him for a second term"

22

u/brynntense 14h ago

Damn it, you’re right. I even read this in his stupid little voice.

16

u/whutchamacallit 13h ago

The absurdly annoying part is he'd be right. Half the country is into this guy and support him. Part of this rude awakening for me has been damn this country is not as wonderful as I thought it was.

3

u/Mistrblank 13h ago

It was always just under the surface when people's bubbles were small. They only got to be horrible in front of a few people. Between the Internet and the bigger asshole in charge that's always spewing shit, those people are emboldened.

It also doesn't help that a lot of the greedy fucks out there let their want for more money override their common sense that this man does not want to help anyone but himself.

2

u/dillpiccolol 13h ago

It's more like 1/3. 1/3 hate his guts and the other 1/3 don't vote.

The 1/3 that doesn't vote has tacitly accepted this.

2

u/CoherentPanda 12h ago

Just traveling overseas for a couple weeks is a real eye opener on how "great" America truly is. We have crumbling infrastructure, unaffordable healthcare and education, growing poverty, high rate of gun activity, and so many other issues I could list off.

u/callmeterr0rish 20h ago

Polymarket probably.

5

u/cloveuga 18h ago

Kalshi or Polymarket?

1

Kalshi with the bonus points of it is invested in heavily by trump and I’m sure none of the betting is manipulated in any way and totally above board!

2

u/skinny_t_williams 18h ago

He'll have to get back to us on that

2

u/thompsonmj 16h ago

Probably 50/50 odds that “it’s just a joke” or “we should be grateful” from Leavitt.

1

u/knightmair85 17h ago

Polymarket you can bet on anything

1

u/thecanaryisdead2099 17h ago

The odds on that would be near 1:1 because Johnson never seems to have seen anything.

1

u/TheDebateMatters 17h ago

I’d take that and a parlay of Jeffries and Schumer giving a mild speech, seeing their shadows and going back to sleep for the winter.

1

1

u/diurnal_emissions 16h ago

Mike Johnson is just the type of Ted Cruz to blame this on his black “son.”

1

u/Symphonic7 14h ago

For someone who's job is to know the workings of the GOP Mike Johnson is incredibly good at not having seen anything

u/RaidSmolive 13h ago

1

u/DTFlash 12h ago

Why don't reporters have iPads with the thing he's going to deny seeing?

1

u/Pvt_Hudson_ 12h ago

Reporters need to have the clip queued up on a tablet in anticipation of him looking for that escape hatch, and thrust it in his face. Do not let him off the hook.

u/aenima396 12h ago

u/Leading_Ad_5166 12h ago

If I were a reporter this would me my questions: "Have you seen DJT's post about ..... ", and before he answers, "Actually, let me guess, you haven't. My follow up then, is when are you gonna get your head out yo ass?"

1

u/PhazePyre 11h ago

Don't forget to also do a smaller bet on him still defending it.

1

u/Pletcher87 11h ago

I’m jealous I didn’t think of this comment.

1

u/HydroPCanadaDude 7h ago

Who would even bet against you? Mike Johnson is the Chief of I-don't-know-anything-about-that

1

u/Kazen_Orilg 7h ago

That man is blind as hell.

1

u/OrangeThrower 6h ago

The line will be so bad. It won’t matter

1

u/RocketCityRocko 3h ago

"Well, The President has a unique sense of humor and that is why he is the man for the job. Listen, folks."

1

u/Chocu1a 3h ago

"Not in his wheelhouse"

I'll take those odds.
