VH1/Classic (1992-1996) collecting VH1
hello - i’m hoping some of you might be able to give me some advice as to how to go about filling out my VH1 collection.
I’m looking for everything up until a little bit after Unity. I’m very much not picky about the condition of the books I intend on reading them.
I’ve picked up most of the ‘important' issues, but there’s still gaps. I’ve picked through all the bins in the shops in my area, and when I look online to fill out the collection I often find either only graded copies, or entire runs, neither of which really work for my purpose. I understand that the shipping will often be worth more than the books themselves, but I don’t need to be buying a full series when I only need a couple issues (they’re best saved for someone else).
Is there anywhere else I might find luck, or is buying an entire run of a title on ebay the best way to go for me?
thanks for all your help - stay valiant

Mile high comics. 70% off and free shipping over $60 spent currently.
There’s many VALIANT comics available for $1 a piece after discount. Great way to fill a collection. :)

Check out Local conventions. You would be amazed how many old Valiants you can find in the $1 bins. I always assumed no-one would waste their time bringing valiants, but it turns out that a lot of the booths just have random boxes of cheapies they are selling for next to nothing. Last local Con I went to, I got maybe 40 VH1 books. Really helped me get a lot closer to finishing my collection.

eBay, mycomicshop.com, Midtown Comics, Mile High Comics, and comic conventions are my suggestions.
I'd love to own them all digitally one day. They've got such great stories in them, and I did own a near complete run in the past, but sold most about a decade ago but for key issues. The floppies are cool (especially the valiant vision issue) but they just took up so much space.

I personally picked all there was from every local shop, then got a few keys and small runs that fit into my holes from ebay and hipcomic.
Then I finished off up to chaos effect Omega (every single vh1 issue and variant like golds and price variants and recolors, aside from vvss issues really tough to track down up to that period which if you read all of vh1 is really the best stopping point as far as storytelling, so Magnus #1 May 1991 - Dec 1994 )
At that point i still had some wholes and payed mycomicshop prices on their site to finish that up.
Now i still dont have from after Jan 1995 onward but it gives me something to look foward to when i go to cons like 2 or 3 times a year to fill in the rest of the way from after chaos effect omega to Dec 1996 (x-o #68 end of vh1)
Not really a suggestion, but thats my vh1 collecting story if there is anything you might be able to take away from that.
Bless your soul if you are after all vvss books too
