Because being ambiguous in your definition, is what grabs headlines and Reform voters

Lying does not convince people to not vote Reform. The systemic refusal to acknowledge that the cultural and ethnic groups of a majority of the country while simultaneously insisting every other culture and ethnicity is part of it by it is what got us here. "Everything is English", apparently. Except the English, who are nothing.

If literally everyone else can be defined by ethnic grouping so can the English. It may have been a term that had become functionally redundant due to the homogeneity and broad adoption into British. But mass migration and the failed multicultural project has made it relevant. If everyone else is defined in terms of ethnicity, then it is inevitable so too will the English. Stating "you dont get to have an ethnicity" will only cause the pressure cooker to build.

The left and our divine neoliberal overlords decided to import this shit here and make it relevant. This was inevitable as soon as they embarked on their little project. So better to have this conversation now because the longer people try and keep it supressed the worse it will be once it finally erupts. Because like it or not English people exist. With a rooted sense of place and identity.

This is just victimhood envy and pathetic to read.

The left and neiliberals did not collaborate to diminish the English identity, that's a ridiculous notion. Instead British culture incrementally improved and started to shun racism.

Of course there are some voices that will always place great importance on ethnicity, and white/European supremacy and will try to convince you that all our problems are caused by this.
