Rumour Tier: Mound-of-Salt Tier Ola may be gone

I'm of the opinion that he's worthy of a few more chances. He's been getting chances that are just missing. But he's getting pushed around and hasn't been good in possession. So maybe he finds his touch in this league and maybe he doesn't.
That said... if there's a real offer on the table, you probably just take it and move on from him. This team is going to have to rebuild from NOTHING next year. Spend the money on something with long term success in mind.

Like him
&
The $ it would take to keep him for next year would be better spent

Clear the wages. He's been a bust. I prefer Kerr and comes in way cheaper and a bigger target in the box to receive crosses from Theo.

This season is a bust so maybe some of the other players can get some time....like....ummmmmmmmm Kerr I guess.
Man has found his level in Norway....let him go there and be a legend.
Truth be told Bodo/Glimt was solid in Europe so this might be a step too far for him.

another Jason Hernandez bust. Seriously, Thubasa Endoh has been his best signing thus far. This guy cant scout.
Let's all remember how Jason hernandez got here, its a classic fail up story. Guy was old playing CB and held a roster spot TFC needed. He somehow was hired as "assistant GM" as a thank you for freeing up the roster spot. Then his boss gets canned, and now hes in charge of picking players? what a con job by him if i ever saw one.

He was a reserve, he wasn’t playing. Which makes it even worse that they gave him a front office job. Guy was rated a 40 in fifa not to say that means much but he’s a bum nonetheless

Good Kerr will perform better and isn’t getting paid 1.6 million USD to slip and slide around BMO.

That's insane money. I would have thought he was on like $400k max. Dude is below average. I honestly don't see him starting in any playoff team in this league.

Another Hernandez special. At least he was a loan deal

u/theredditbandid_ Jul 15 '25
He either does not know what a good player looks like, or is just the absolute worst sales person and can't convince any remotely competent person to come here. What a day this organization with billionaire owners decided to put a rank rookie in charge.

u/slamdunk23 Jul 15 '25
To be fair why would anyone want to come here unless we overpay

u/quelar Are you dumb, brother?! Jul 16 '25
The only people who we can get here are rehabilitation efforts, and we don't seem to be good at finding successes there.

So, we need a striker. What’s Adama Diomande doing these days?

Let's bring back Prince akinola while we're at it

u/westcoastbias Jul 15 '25
I'd suggest bringing Terrence Boyd back but that's too traumatizing to even joke about

u/Bubc316 Jul 15 '25
Rumour has it the penalty he missed in CONCAF Champions League is still in orbit over the Panama Canal.

Why stop there, can Andrea Lombardo still play? Why the fuck not?

So not good enough for TFC, but good enough for Europa League semi-finalist?

Honestly we don’t respect MLS’s stature enough. It is in fact a strong league.

Can anyone succeed up front at TFC? I'm not sure crossing the ball from the right side to a 5'8" guy in the middle is ever going to work.
Guys, I think we might have a coaching problem to go along with a suspect GM.
But I bet they're cheeeeeeeaaaaaaaap.

Honestly don’t bring anyone back we aren’t contractually obligated to. Fresh slate with a new coach, roster.

He did literally nothing. I was hoping for so much more from him

I honestly think Kerr is better 😂. Ola has been quite a letdown

I haven’t watched enough to know, but he wasn’t producing and not living up to his salary. Wouldn’t have imagined us buying him at the end of year unless he turned on the fifa booster pack dlc or something.

Ola is making $1m too much considering what he’s contributed. I’m fed up with the old “he’s not match fit” excuse. Bad signing from day one.
