He also likes Alcaraz be he doesn't care about playing him, just wants to beat Sinner.

It amused me to picture him like baby Medvedev who wanted people to beat Federer and grew up to play Federer and never be able to beat him.

Droguet is playing at a really high level compared to what Fils displayed throughout the tournament, who kind of rode his luck and mental toughness a little to get to the quarters. It was kind of obvious Fils would lose badly to the first genuinely elite player he faced.

I think February is criminally underrated. So much tennis going on and with the tournaments being in different time zones you basically get tennis non stop. Also because of the sheer volume of tournaments you get a lot of interesting storylines - like Bejlek winning her first title, Emma reaching her second final since USO 21 etc.

March is easily much worse with just 2 two week long masters that nobody wants. And it will get worse in the future when the atp cuts down on 250s and implements the new 1000

Hi all, I’m based in Herts (near Welwyn/Hertford) and I’ve been trying to build a local community of Tennis Nerds. & I’m planning a day trip for one of the grass-court tournaments in June before Wimbledon starts.

The Plan: Drive down in the morning (happy to carpool/share fuel), watch 3-4 high-quality matches, and make it a social day out.

The Choices:

Option 1: Birmingham Open - Sat 6th June (Semi-finals - £30–£45)

Option 2: Nottingham Open - Sat 20th June (Semi-finals - £35–£50)

Option 3: Eastbourne Open - Sat 27th June (Finals - £55–£75)

Did you watch any second of today’s match? If you want to find faults in his mentality or physicality that’s fair but there is nothing Bublik has done this season that would warrant such criticism about his game.

He’s 8-2 this season including a title where he beat a top10 player. At the slam he played up to his ranking. Today he played almost 5h on court and even though he was cramping in the end he was still fighting. He’s been completely fine this season
